The experience at Gaudio Cosmetic Dentistry went above and beyond my expectations of a dreaded…read moreroutine dental check-up. It wasn't just about teeth, but the way your whole head works together with your teeth and affects the quality of your health. I'll go over my first visit so you can get an idea of how thorough the office runs. And this is even before my first cleaning, which I scheduled for next week. The first appointment involved X-rays and an evaluation. They took a panaramic X-ray which went all the way around my head, and then the standard X-ray where they make you bite down on a piece of plastic. Then they checked the gums and took pictures of each tooth. They explained how my bite is causing two of my bottom teeth to wear away and how that might cause other problems with my molars. They even showed an animation to illustrate the problem and compared it to video of my teeth. I was told to wear a night guard at night and how that might relieve the wear on my teeth and even reduce headaches in the morning. No one has ever taken the time to really evaluate all aspects of my teeth and the relationship that might have with my overall health. Overall, the reception desk was extremely friendly and informative. The dental assistant was honest, helpful, and caring, offering me advice about my breath, cavities, whitening, and just life in general. Joseph was also very kind and offered great advice. I look forward to my future visits!

I normally love going to the dentist, but this office gave my family one of the worst experiences…read morewe've ever had. During my cleaning, the dentist caused horrible pain to my teeth -- something I've never experienced before at any other office. That alone made me switch dentists. Even worse, my fiancée was in severe pain with her teeth, and the office would not see her for two weeks. They ignored how much pain she was in, and by the time they finally scheduled her, she ended up needing an emergency root canal on the spot. A month later, she experienced another awful toothache, and instead of seeing her, they just wanted to give her pain medication and delay treatment again. They didn't return her calls promptly, and when they finally did, they still scheduled her days out. We nearly went to the emergency room, but thankfully we found a new dentist who took her in immediately. It turned out her filling had broken, her tooth was decaying, and the infection had spread into her gum, cheek, and almost up to her nose. SHE HAD A SECOND EMERGENCY ROOT CANAL!!! That pain should never have been ignored. No dentist should ever refuse to treat a patient in that much pain. This office was dismissive, unresponsive, and neglectful. Stay away from this place!!!!

But my husband was comfortable with Dr. Sabin and his staff, so I reluctantly went JUST to make an appointment. Within a few minutes I was in the chair getting x-rays. Their staff made me feel VERY COMFORTABLE (I love Vicky!) Dr. Sabin took his time and explained everything to me. It took a long while for me to get 'numb', but they were patient. Honestly, it was no where as bad as I thought it was gonna be (I thought I was going to die, lol!) Afterwards, they gave me a prescription for painkillers that I didn't even need. Am I now a fan of the dentist? Nope. But I would definitely go back to Dr. Sabin to continue my check-ups.

Now as an adult I have to get braces again and they're also recommending jaw surgery. It's crazy to me that my bite could be so problematic and he took my braces off just like that without addressing the problem. My teeth sit directly on top of each other - no overbite but no clear underbite either. If he did not suggest pulling my upper premolars, my upper palate probably wouldn't be as tiny as it is and this wouldn't be as much of a problem. Also I remember this guy being so terribly rude. He thinks because he works with kids he can just say whatever he wants. I had many healthcare providers as a child and as an adult and I remember only hating this dude of all my doctors. He was awful. Do not recommend at all. I suspect I have grounds for a lawsuit but the statute of limitations is probably surpassed.
