All others bidders for the project just gave us a lump sum. Work they did included moving a toilet in the water closet, tearing out the old shower in water closet, removing a too large tub and replacing it with a giant onyx shower, changing the window in shower to glass block, removing popcorn from vaulted ceiling, painting all walls and ceiling, installing heated floor with new tile and completely replacing the vanity and mirrors. Also switched out all hardware down to the doorknobs and installed new outlets and LED mirrors. They stuck to the exact budget proposed and finished a week early. Kept everything completely clean while in the house and always made sure we had access to our walk in closet in the master bath. All work was done with the highest craftsmanship and there was nothing that they needed to come back and fix. HORRIBLE! Aaron told me his company has over 20 yrs…read more experience restoring and building decks. I soon found out he's the only employee and lacks knowledge and skills working on decks. I have weeds growing out of my deck boards that sits 5-6 feet off the ground! My deck frame/support boards measure 3", he put a board 2 1/4" on top leaving a large gap for dirt, debris and water to collect and sit on top of my deck frame/support boards underneath resulting in weeds. This will also cause rotting on my deck frame/support boards. Railing boards were cut short and uneven too. He was cussing throughout the whole project replacing deck floor joists, floor boards and rails. He couldn't lift the joists and had to wait for a friend of his to come help him lift them, it took him 4 days to remove the wood screws in my existing floor boards grinding away at screws using the wrong bits or stripped bits. He said it was due to his battery on his drill being low but this happened everyday. I asked him a few time to make sure he picked up all the wood screws so I wouldn't get a flat on my riding lawn mower. I ended up finding almost 20 screws he left around my deck and yard and had to buy a magnet sweeper to make sure I picked them all up. It took him over 2 weeks to complete, a job that should've only taken 3-4 days. I know because I've had this done twice before. He spent a lot of time on the phone answering calls and returning phone calls to people while he attempted to work on my deck. When I told Aaron about weeds growing out of my deck, his response was it will cost me to come fix it and he sent me an invoice. He expects me to pay for his mistakes??? He proceeded to tell me he was a one man show and he has no retirement (his words). Like this is supposed to make me feel sorry for him and an excuse for shoddy work?

Their quote was the highest we received, but also the most detailed, fair, and comprehensive. The house had been neglected prior to our purchase and needed a great deal of repair prior to paint. Aaron's performed extensive wood rot repair, and were very thorough in their scraping and caulking. I attempted to fix the problem by adjusting the flow adustment in the valve, but to no avail. I began thinking that our hot water heater was going out. I called MK&B and talked to Al, the owner, and he came by that evening to check it out. ( I live close to him on his way home) and the next day he called to tell me he would have to order a new valve. ( be a few days to a week) Well about 2 days later on a Saturday morning he called to tell me he had the part and he could come by to install it if convienient time for me. I told it was but I kinda expected one of the people that works for him to come by and install the valve. I got to the house and Al was there to do the work, himself. Al proceeded to take things apart when all of a sudden, he said let me try this instead. Low and behold his sudden epithany, worked. Mind you he came by after bussiness hours, ordered and recieved part, and came by on a Saturday to do the work himself. All said and done I asked what do I owe you? The first project was to redirect our laundry from the basement to an area next to the master bedroom. They had to knock out a wall, and remove closet doors. Plumbing and electric had to be routed to the area, and a vent for the dryer. We were so happy with the results, that when the time came to add a bathroom to the man cave - I knew they would be in the running. We still did our due diligence, and got several bids for the remodel. Bill and Dave were not the least expensive, but they had the best value proposition. At the end of the day, they finished the project quickly. They were always professional, courteous and dependable. They sectioned off, used drop cloths and cleaned up the whole basement afterwards. I always trusted them with my garage code. I was given plenty of color and fixture options to choose from. The finished project was well above my expectations. Dave had to work with uneven surfaces on the floor, and he really knocked it out of the park. It is the best bathroom in the whole house - my wife is jealous! Had hours set they could work and I even offered to pay extra. They took a bunch of my money, then would never show up. Then they told me they got the permit but actually didn't, and I found out from the city. I found this out after they knocked down my walls and had me locked in. Then they said they would handle it and went MIA until I made it clear that my lawyer will be suing them. Its 2024 and the work isn't done. They repeatedly sent messages in writing agreeing to finish the work they started and never actually followed through and now I have losses in 5 figures because they lied. So don't ever hire Neil Niederhauser of Pure Solutions Remodeling & Decking. If they want to lie about it, I have months of communication between us about it and I'll share it all. So there is my review. 0/10. I do not recommend. I also recently found a complaint on the better business bureau for someone else they did the same thing to.
