I have been going to Marks Music for 25 years. Wonderful people who provide a great business…read moreservice to Mercer County. As a director and a parent, Marks has given me extremely competitive deals for instrument purchases. Their repair shop is excellent- we have a Buffet R13 worked on there (also purchased there). It came back this time playing better than it did when we first got it out of the case. Marks often hand picks the instruments they keep in stock- a huge deal in the clarinet world. They have great instructors for private lessons. The care they show cannot be matched by online retailers. It is always a great day stopping by Marks Music.

I had a very disappointing experience here. The owner was extremely rude, condescending, and…read moreunprofessional. I purchased a drink from the refrigerator only to realize it was well past its "best by" date. After checking reviews online, it seems I'm not the only customer who has encountered expired products here. There were no signs in the store disclosing this issue. When I brought it up, the owner questioned me aggressively and even raised his voice while I was still shopping in the aisles. He asked why the bottle I was bringing back was empty, which felt unreasonable--I wasn't sure if he expected me to bring back a half-finished drink. The situation was embarrassing and uncomfortable. I wouldn't have made a big deal about a refund, but the way I was treated made this experience unacceptable. I hope the business improves on how customers are treated.
