Once those weren't comfortable I went to a chain store that was able to point me to a neutral shoe that I thought was comfortable but ended up injuring my feet, plus every run felt like dead weight. I finally went to this store and received individualized attention that pointed me to a brand I had never even considered. Pam spent about 30 minutes discussing and trying on shoes with me, and my feet have been happy ever since. Avoid the chain stores; go here and you won't regret it.

DSW used to be the shoe store I went to first. I could find great deals on boots and they used to…read morehave the best selection of sneakers. The last few times I went there with every intention of buying shoes, I walked out empty handed. It seems as if all of the boots were made with pvc- I couldn't find one pair of quality leather boots. I just recieved a gift card for Christmas to purchase a casual pair of sneakers. Unless you're a gym rat and wear the mesh and nylon styles, or need a dainty casual suede shoe, you won't find a pair of full grain leather sneakers. That's all I want- a white leather court shoe. The website lists an adidas and a nike genuine leather, low top court shoe, but in the store, the items with the same style # are made with a composite pvc. Why pay 3x to 5x the price for a shoe you can buy at walmart. DSW just isn't the shoe store it used to be. I will likely have to sell the gift card with some loss of it's value but the likelihood of finding anything I want to buy is slim to none.
