From our first meeting, Eric was focused on helping us find homes that would work for us - listened to our priorities in what we were looking for in both the property itself and the transaction. He respected that since we had just moved to the area, we would be taking our time to get a feel for the neighborhoods we could see ourselves in and for the local property market. With the housing supply in Brookline being so tight - Eric would alert us as soon as a property that fit our needs came onto the market (or even a bit before) and had the connections with other local realtors to get us in before the open house. He wasn't pushy - trying to talk us into making an offer on a place we didn't love or getting us to bid beyond our comfort zone. After a few months of searching and trying - we successfully purchased a condo. Eric followed up a few times after the purchase to make sure everything was OK and that the property was 'as advertised'. In short - we couldn't recommend Eric higher.

I would wait days for answers and had to follow up multiple times just to get basic information. When we scheduled a tour, she didn't even confirm the showing until we reached out two hours beforehand. She confirmed 3:15 p.m., but we told her we were driving from out of state and traffic would put us closer to 3:30. When we got there, she acted like we were late and told us we would have to reschedule. The showing itself was just as bad. She showed up in a graphic sweatshirt, didn't greet us professionally, and barely explained anything about the apartment or application process. When we asked normal questions, she was dismissive and impatient, even sending texts like "..." as if we were bothering her. Since she gave us almost no useful information, we had to contact management ourselves. The application process was where it got even worse. After we completed the lease, she told us on 4/20 that we needed co-signers, then disappeared for the rest of the day because she was off for "the holiday." She was rude and unhelpful to our co-signers, including my friend's mother, whose first language is not English. I asked to speak with her by phone so we could get on the same page and I could help walk our stressed-out co-signers through the process. She refused and said, "I don't need anything from you. If the co-signers need anything, they can contact me directly." Our co-signers were already overwhelmed because of her lack of guidance, and she still couldn't be bothered to help. The next day, she gave us an ultimatum to get the new paperwork signed by 2 p.m. or she would refund our deposits and pull the application. When I told her to go ahead and pull it (because I didn't want her getting the commission for doing NOTHING), she suddenly claimed there were other pending applications and that we wouldn't be able to reapply. We called management directly, and they confirmed we were the only application........ Overall, Michela made this process SO STRESSFUL than it needed to be. She was slow to respond, dismissive, rude, unhelpful, and misleading, and SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I would absolutely not recommend working with her, even our co-signers commented on how horrid it was working with her.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I would suggest that when there's showing happening with another agent and when other people are sending applications, that agent could at least notify their colleagues. Also update all information on a timely manner. If multiple applications have been sent and being reviewed, how could another agent still be scheduling tours with other potential renters? This is not making any sense, unless someone was skipping the process. If the current agent could inform the renter that someone was ahead of the process and the unit could be gone any second, then the renter won't have high expectations. Those are some suggestions that could improve future renters' experience without upsetting them.

Overall good experience, though I am still confused what is the purpose of a broker, at least we did not have to pay a broker fee! After that they informed us that they received other applications so we upped our offer to be more competitive. Then nearly a week after we submitted our application they said we would no longer be considered unless we move in 9 days after the listed date they posted of September 1st move in. They wanted us to pay the deposit and sign the lease before being approved as tenants by the owner of the property. They claimed if we were not approved, they would refund the deposit, but that was not outlined in the lease terms so there was no guarantee the funds would be returned. I am not going to risk $8,000 for the chance to be considered and nobody else should either. This entire process felt very strange and we ended up walking away and finding something better with a different company.

Every other agency honored this and I had several showings in early 2022. Despite telling David he did not have permission to show my apartment when I wasn't home, David sent one of his agents into my apartment, which I caught on my security camera. David tried to lie - said he left me a voicemail, he didn't, said he had my landlord's permission, my landlord had no idea who was in my apartment. In early March, I texted David today to make sure he returned my keys to my landlord. He asked me to take my Google review down and I said no. I told him "I'm not hurting anyone, I'm telling the truth about your dishonest and unprofessional behavior." He told me he was going to sue me and when I said goodbye, he responded "f*ck you c*nt." I tried to upload the screenshots to Google but I think they were flagged for the language. The next day, my boyfriend called David. That conversation quickly devolved and David's wife took the phone and asked my boyfriend what he was afraid of. "Are you afraid he's going to r*pe her? Are you afraid he is going to beat her? Are you afraid he's going to kill her?" She also accused us of trying to ruin David's life by posting a Google review. I ended up having my locks changed and filing a police report. I think Harvard Ave Realty had my Google review flagged. Just trying to help other renters/landlords avoid dealing with a clearly unstable, unsafe human being. David (and his wife) are beyond unprofessional, they are unhinged. Avoid this company at all costs, they are unprofessional, rude, and backhanded.
