It has traditional Polish, Belgian and Hungarian food. Fun atmosphere, soft music and casual bar where couples, friends and small groups can wine down the day and relax. Highly recommendable if you are a local. And if you are a tourist this is the perfect non-touristy place to enjoy surrounded by locals. But shhhh.... Don't spread the word and come before more people discover it !!

I ordered a mulled wine to warm up but they had just served the last glass. I then asked if they had a wine list, and the answer was a straight "no", without any discussion of the wines on offer. So I stood awkwardly for a few seconds and then asked for a red wine. The barman produced three bottles and talked me through them, which is where the service perked up a little. I chose the Polish wine as why not, you don't see a lot of wine from Poland in the UK. This was 14PLN for a small glass and was pretty good, however the cold temperature and chilly atmosphere meant we headed off after one drink. If this was local to me I would probably spend more time here sampling wines and cheeses. If you're in the area anyway on a trip to Kraków I'd say call in, but don't make it a destination.

The food is some of the best I have ever eaten. If you want French cuisine in Poland don't miss this. It knocks out most of the restaurants I've eaten at in Paris. (No Yelp back then to review). The dining area is all original 500 years old below ground. The exposed brick and candles make it lovely. Not good for kids or large groups but it's not to be missed. Update: just returned for dinner 8/9/19 I will just say that it's as great or better than my previous dinner. Do not miss it. Service is impeccable and the food just wonderful.

The underground location in an old brick cellar is just stunning and has a lovely warm feeling. We had starters, main and dessert. The main menu was deer medallions with black lilac and blackberries and entire lobster with cognac sauce for my wife - both tasted delicious! To the lobster our professional waiter recommends a chardonnay from Uruguay(!) and it was one of the best chardonnay we have taste ever! The service, the staff, the food, the wine - the whole feeling was great! I would highly recommend this place for a high-quality meal! NB: Book ahead as it obviously has a good reputation!

The first covered building in the Gothic style was funded by King Casimir the Great in the 14th century. A fire in 1555 destroyed it, but then it was reconstructed in the Renaissance style. Today, it still has elements of both architectural styles. There are some plaques written in Latin, gargoyles with satirical faces, and female angelic figures that were added to the facade over the years. There's even a knife hanging down from the entrance on the side of St. Mary's Basilica. It's tied to a legend of the 2 brothers who built the church towers. There are some uncovered and restored advertisements near one of the archways. The building has a lot of character. There is a branch of the Museum of Kraków featuring 19th century Polish art that is located on the top level. It's closed on Mondays with free admission on Tuesdays. There is a restaurant called Café Szal that boasts beautiful views of the square. The shopping within the Cloth Hall is mostly souvenirs and touristy items. There were many tourists buying their goods. We had a better cultural experience at the Stary Kleparz market which had a little of everything (including food and wine). The Cloth Hall is still worth a visit, and shouldn't be missed.

I had the Charle Breakfast for under $7 and it came with a bread basket, tea, sparkling wine, and an egg. The bread basket was served with a delicious selection of fruit and chocolate spreads. The bread was fresh and the croissants buttery and flaky. The sparkling wine was crisp and not too sweet. The cafe has plenty of sitting room with a cute upstairs balcony. I highly recommend Charlottes to anyone looking for a great breakfast, snack, or pastry. I will be back for sure!

We waited for patio seating and were happy to squeeze 4 into a table but the server didn't seem happy until we ordered alcohol and she became a little more hospitable! Anyway! Nice cool spot for people watching and the food here is really good. We started off with coffees and then Kir royales. Ordered a couple of their open faced toasts and a quiche. Everything was fresh and well presented and I loved the pea pesto ! They had gluten free bread also for my celiac friend. Pastries here didn't strike me as all that even though everyone seemed to order them around us so decided to try those elsewhere. It was a nice start to our day food and drink wise. This is a busy spot though and you may have to wait for seating .
