My brief story and what I sent them: About 4 years ago I purchased a document bag to replace an LL Bean bag I had for years. Thought I would step it up a tad. Love the bag, but then somehow the metal bracket on the shoulder strap breaks? How is that even possible? Not happy. About 100 hours later (they promise an already achingly slow 72 hours to respond) "Aimee" sends this: Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Ted has received a lot of emails recently (probably from crappy products...I added this), and he hasn't been able to respond as quickly as he likes to! (Oh Ted, please make customer service a priority) I am very sorry to hear of the disappointment you have experienced concerning the quality of your document bag. All Ted Baker's collections undertake strict quality control testing; however, we accept that a small minority of flawed items may slip through the net. I will be sure to make note of this occurrence, and it will be taken on board for future reference. (Please make a note of this). What I sent them in response: Ted making a note of something is weak, trite and solves nothing. So far I am very underwhelmed by Teds slow response and weak customer service regarding its products. Shame on Ted Baker for charging a decent amount for its products and then not standing behind  its "quality" products. Would I buy another product or recommend it to others? Seems they are no better than other online places with products probably made in China. And excuses probably from a booklet. Sadly nobody really cares at Ted Baker. Lesson learned: Shop elsewhere. Products attract; Poor service repels.

A unique thing about Ted Baker is that it lets it clothes speak for themselves, and relies predominantly on word of mouth for advertising rather than posters or commercials. I do like the clothes however I do not like shopping in their stores the music is too loud and it feels more like being in a poesy club rather than a store. The clothes are mostly very nice office clothes, they have a sophisticated edge to them that makes them stand out from other brands of office clothes. This particular branch only offers men's and women's clothes and accessories. However, the bran itself offers clothing from infancy, as well as gifts and a fragrance line. You can find branches of Ted Baker all over London so there is no need to make a special trip to this branch.

They looked effortlessly stylish, but with an edgy twist. They also looked 'priceless', as if they could have been any price. "Please be really cheap, please be really cheap", I prayed as I walked in. Unfortunately, all the clothes cost so much more than what I and my little budget was hoping for. But a girl can dream, and there was plenty to stoke my fantasies in here. The clothes seemed to be divided into 'concepts'. The fabrics all looked top quality; soft cotton, cashmere and velvet. The styles were feminine, but again, with that twist. There was a rock look, romantic, glam and Fe-Male. I spied a bag that I loved the look of, but it was £300.00. Most of the clothes were upwards of £100.00. Perhaps one day when I am living the rock chick lifestyle, with the money to match, I will come here and stock up my wardrobe.

Goodhood grows up!…read more I had popped my head in a few times at Goodhood's small East London outpost (formerly on Coronet Street, tucked away just off Hoxton Square) -- but they've now moved to these much nicer, much larger, much posher digs on Curtain Road. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this new location boasts a large lower level (with kids clothes! and lighting! and cosmetics/products!) as well as the main level with men's and women's fashion. Goodhood is a very popular lifestyle brand (just check out their following on twitter/instagram/facebook) -- and one can see why. It's very hip. I didn't find anything on this particular visit. The clothing isn't quite me. It's also very pricey. The kids clothes are cute, but anyone with an actual child realizes that it's an unnecessary expenditure to buy duds that get covered in food/drool, etc. I'm sure non-parents could buy these as gifts though! I'll be back to explore the cosmetics/product lines and homewares though...also very fond of their jewelry. Similar designs to Start nearby. Summary: great if you are looking for a unique gift or for something special for yourself or your home. Fun to have a poke around. I can't pull off most of the fashion but could def be convinced with some of their home items or beauty stuff. Also, everyone was friendly. A nice change for a boutique in Shoreditch!

I returned it today (Jan 8th, purchased Dec 15th) and they wouldn't take it back, even for store credit. Had it been purchased online, they would have had to under UK law, but it seems their returns policy on the website does not adhere to that either: https://goodhoodstore.com/deliveries-and-returns. They state here items must be returned within 14d of SALE, when actually UK law dictates that notice must be given within 14d of RECEIPT, and items returned within another 14d (28d of receiving items in total) There are plenty of other places that stock the brands that they do for a fraction of the price, and that allow 28d for returns. I genuinely thought I was supporting a local multi-brand store by buying from GoodHood, but it seems their policies are not customer-centric. Shame, nice range.

I was so excited to visit this shop while in London this summer after hearing all the other locations had closed. First of all, it was incredibly difficult to find. It's not a forward facing store into the mall, more placed off to the side and hidden inside NEXT. Once I found it, I was super disappointed that all the wonderful Cath Kidston items I had loved over the years weren't even for sale anymore. No good handbags, limited selection of wallets. The store is TINY. They had more collaborations with juvenile looking prints on them than anything. Not really what I'm looking for at 55 yrs old! I wish they would bring back all the wonderful handbag and wallet styles from Pre-Covid times and all the beautiful floral prints. Also, there is no direct website. It's also hidden on the NEXT site. I love to switch bags depending on the occasion and destination. The adjustable strap provides various options for over the shoulder or cross body.
