You're also able to let the instructors know if you have specific goals and they will make modifications to your workout even while in the group class. The energy at the gym is so high you can't help but come in and be ready to work. Not sure if this is still a thing, but if I went during a time where my friend and I were the only ones there it was considered one of our classes. They didn't try to up charge it as personal training. All in all I really love this gym I only stopped membership when I moved and it was no longer convenient. Forever grateful…read morethat I found this space because I was going through a big life change and wanted to get back into a routine of working out again and Dama really helped hold me accountable, push me during my workouts, helped me with my nutrition and people are really nice here. Members and coaches, the coaches are a good group, lots of good energy. I found this gym from an old client of mine who used to live in the neighborhood and she always raved about all inspired. I think that alone says a lot about a place and the people that make it what it is and the impact it leaves on the community. They also offer group classes, have a sauna, cold plunge, cardio machines, showers if you're in a rush after your workouts and offer free parking as well!

I wish there were hooks on the outside of the showers but there is one inside. It's not ideal when you're trying to stay dry to keep your bag in the shower with you but it is what it is. The floor is relatively dry so you can always place it outside the door too. I think they use a smidge too much chlorine in the water because my kid still has that faint odor even after a double soap washing. Our old place of swim, LA Fitness did not use that much chlorine which I really liked. Anyway, they need more benches and chairs around the pool for the parents and visitors. Other than that, a good place.

If you would like to learn how to box, we offer 1-1 Personal Boxing Lessons. I also find it funny that the the people in this gym didn't clean their equipment, because I personally watch them clean the bags and weights everyday. Also, my staff and I clean the gym every night before we leave with Clorox and disinfectant. Since you have such a negative review, I would love to personally invite you to come in for a free boxing session, maybe you can rewrite your review, and watch us clean the gym. You are correct, we don't have showers, but we do have a shower. Most boxing gyms don't have showers, but I can understand your concern. We do have lockers on site in the boxing area and in the gym area, and just like other facilities, you must bring your own lock...however, this gym is so family oriented, we don't need to secure anything and have to worry about it people stealing your stuff. read more

If you want a real workout... and quick... Leave it to Ricky, Eric and the team at HTX. After a 45 minute workout I was drenched. I did hesitate in coming in because I was used to the "big box" gym environment... But I am grateful to be part of this place. No bull here and unlike waiting for a machine or weights... you are in and out. (I can be at the gym for 2-3 hours each time... wasting a lot of time. No bull here... Also it was centrally located so just a 10 minute drive from DT (Where I work). read more

Teaches very basic boxing mechanics which is a must so kudos for sure! Truly a HIIT workout sesh and awesomely friendly environment, they even have a weight room on the other side of the boxing gym(unaware of if it's tagged along in the membership) If you're trying to become a pro boxer this may not be the correct gym but I wouldn't even be so sure as to I only did the free session. By, September I was the only woman in this time slot. In October, I was asked how I felt about them turning the class to male/female.. I had no problem. I was enjoying my classes with trainer Sergio even though the class lacked new attendees. As the holidays rolled around, I informed Sergio I would most likely not be attending until after New Years. Today is 1/8/19. After New Years, I come back to Slava and I am told Sergio is no longer an instructor and I will be in Jesse's class. Knowing the age of Sergio and being in college, I was not deterred by someone new. I quickly learned why I was later told to take the class before paying. The new instructor for their 5-6PM classes is garbage. I didn't even complete the hour because within the first half hour he told me to "practice on the bags" with no instruction. In fact he sat down on the mat looking at his phone while I spent ROUNDS of warming up. Keep in mind this is a instructed class and I was just doing something I can do by myself at a regular gym and pay less for. When I finally got fed up that the new instructor was just letting time pass, I walked over to the gym owner and asked what am I doing in this class, his new instructor was not interacting with me, he's not instructing. I was told "What do you expect?" and I had to TELL HIM "Well, it's a class! I expect interaction and to be taught something like the previous teacher did." He told me "It's your decision to pay to be here." and "You don't have to be part of this gym." With that response, I decided to no longer pay to be here. Slava boxing does not value it's members. The owner is unprofessional and rude. And for the record, during this conversation he was SMOKING! All the previous reviews are right, for owning a gym it's astounding he finds it okay to smoke inside of it. As I once enjoyed being part of this gym, I quickly learned the owner does not value the members of his gym. Previous reviews are telling and you should spend your money elsewhere.

I do not want to take away from the safety of the other patrons at the gym and requested a cancellation of the 6 months prepaid membership I had paid. Instead, the response I got back from management was that they could push my membership back to Dec 2022. However, there is no telling when an effective vaccine will come. I am trying to protect the other members that come to the gym and not put them at greater risk. I wanted to make sure that the other people coming to the gym understand that I am trying to minimize the risk to others but ownership is not letting me do so.
