HSBC is the 6th largest public company in the world and one of the biggest banks in the United Kingdom, here today I am reviewing their branch in Wigan city centre, located in the Grand Arcade Shopping Mall. This is quite a large branch, located fairly close to Muffin Break, Marks and Spencer and the George Formby Statue.
The bank inside wasn't as nice as other banks I have visited, certainly not as modern as Lloyds Bank, but due to its' size, it does stand out in the mall.
They is a cash machine on the outside, but on the inside it is mainly Express Banking machines, and in a way it is hard to tell the difference between what is a machine for withdrawing, and paying-in, due to the uncommon look of cash machines.
I didn't have any encounters with staff to comment on, but this is pretty much your average bank for a town like Wigan, and to me just has something which gives a poorer nature to it, and not a good feel as another bank, which might be smaller and have less machines. One of the only things that seems good about it is its' size and location, but still its' just mediocre and only warrants 2 stars sadly. read more
