Much better system than the olden days, I remember waiting ages in the queue but now it's faster and still always busy the staff are good in helping you find a quicker alternative of using their systems. This bank is a very busy bank as its on a very busy road ie barking road.They have all there tills…read moreopen,but as its busy you do have to queue and that can be anythhing from 5 minutes to an hour. They also have a telephone service if you need to talk to someone about something regarding your existing account(lost pin) or wanting to get a new product ( morgage or loans). They also have a help desk that you can go and talk to one of the staff about anything to do with the bank. They are a friendly bunch of people who work there and are there to help.

I've used the cashpoint here many many times. The queue isn't normally too bad but obviously on…read morematch days you can expect to wait up to around 10 minutes the closer you get to kick off. There have been the odd occasion where one of the machines hasn't been working but like i said, its the odd occasion. If it's very busy there's a post office over the other side of barking road with a cashpoint inside.

When this included paying bills, opening a new online account and changing my account details, I was amazed! Staff were friendly and helpful, the layout is great and the private areas felt just like that! I'm using this place for all my banking now!

Not to be confused with the nearby branch and head office which is a huge tower in the Canary Wharf…read morecomplex within London which for some reason has its' own Yelp listing, HSBC at Jubilee Place is their physical tangible bricks and mortar retail store where customers can go about their day to day banking. The store is located close to Vision Express, is a short walk away from the Underground Station and it is a pretty modern store with a good number of ATM's, it's just a shame it was so hard to find a staff member. The opening hours are pretty basic between 9 and 5, opening half an hour later on Tuesday's and not at all on weekends. Considering Canary Wharf is a very businessy "banking" part of the city, I think the hours are okay because the whole area never seems too busy at weekends anyway, especially compared to the rest of the city where they do have branches which are open longer. They do try to add a slight digital banking emphasis here, the branch is certainly not old-fashioned, hideous, dull and boring which I find common with many HSBC stores - HSBC and TSB are two of the banks which have too many miserable and old locations, this bank is an example of a change from that and although the staffing levels during the day are dire and the fact they seem to love playing hide-and-seek with customers, it is an A-OK HSBC branch. 3*

It all started when I tried to apply for a credit card from there earlier this year. You would think this would be a simple process but not for the staff here. There was no one at the 'Welcome Desk' (a situation I soon found out occurred frequently) so I approached staff at the cashiers. After some wait they produced a very badly photocopied credit application that I could hardly read. After much guess work I filled out the form and gave them my 2 forms of ID. They said they only needed one so just photocopied my drivers licence. To cut a long story short it took a further 3 months and a further 2 application forms before I finally got a credit card with the reasons of delay being a incorrectly filled out application form (what did they expect when I couldn't read the questions it asked), only one form of ID being provided and a lack of staff at the branch. In conclusion I would advise anyone from using this branch or Abbey bank at all to be honest. They clearly have staffing issues here as whenever I pass the branch the only staff I see are the cashiers along with a massive queue of customers waiting to see them. Not what I expect from one of the big banks on the High Street.

A modern branch of Nationwide in a fairly new, modern part of Westfield Stratford City…read more I'll start as I do with any bank by talking about the opening hours, with a cash machine outside on "The Street" part of the mall, that means even if you're shopping late you can still have some banking services, but even better - they're also open on a Sunday with staff inside so you can use the more advanced and in-depth machines inside, the staff seemed pretty friendly too, the only flaw being despite being open 12-6 on Sunday, they don't offer a counter-service. Every other day they open between 10 am (later than average) and 6 pm, opening half an hour later on Wednesday's which is average/reasonable, as they seem to make up for opening later by closing later. Perhaps adding another outside cash machine would be good especially for the location, they certainly do need to fix the automatic doors too, as at the moment the bank seems a little unwelcoming and I even thought it was closed at first. Decent, average modern bank, although there are many rivals nearby this is an average bank, and one of the better ones in the mall (I'm calling Nationwide a bank by habit when it is infact a building society) 3*
