The staff always seem helpful and the customer service desk is always busy but well staffed. They used to have a car park behind but not anymore. If you are coming in by bus to the town it is quite a trek, I have never had a problem here although with it being quite small can sometimes be a pain getting the push chair round.

There are normally plenty of counter staff although be prepared to queue at peak times. There are plenty of staff in the other areas waiting to help you with personal banking and there is also a business banking section. They have a large branch, with lots of counters, although they can get very, very busy at the weekends and the wait can be annoying, same in most banks. Lately it seemed costs were rising & benefits getting trimmed. I was beginning to question whether this was value for money. With the opening of the private lounge at the well-placed grand central branch, the benefits look much more attractive. It's truly a lovely space in which customers can have a coffee, do some business before they catch a train, or even stay for a couple of hours and do their work. It also has a small meeting room that seats around six people which you can book out. Well done NatWest! You had me at the espresso machine, but those tasty treats as well...

Tried and it was the wrong number, went into the branch and they said they would order me a reminder and advised me I could get money out over the counter. I then went on to think I had remembered my pin number and ended up getting the card kept, went back in and they advised me they would post it out when the machine was serviced a few days later.

It is a much bigger branch now, with more counters. The cash machine is outside, so you can still get cash and pay in cheques when the branch is closed, which is very handy.

They are also not open on the weekends. The staff are not particularly helpful and they seem to take forever to serve anyone. On the plus side it is in a prime location right on the corner by where a lot of the buses stop just outside one of the main entrances to the Kingfisher shopping precinct.
