It's good bowling. If I had to criticize anything it would be the outside being pretty barren and for a second I couldn't tell if I was in the right place. I went here for a furmeet so the option of lane reservations and using OpenLane to change your display image is a really fun addition. For a sport that has little variety casually, a place like this shines some fun on those who are less competitive.

Growing up in a smaller city, bowling was one of my favorite past times with friends. That being said, HPL reminds me so much of the alley I grew to love. Although the exterior could use a face lift, the inside of HPL is clean and well-kept. The main reasons I am giving HPL 5 stars is because it is a price-conscious bowling alley in a city full of over-priced options. On top of this, the management is super friendly: The owner was extremely inviting and would walk around and make sure everyone was having a good time. As a college student, you can't beat their college night deals. We bowled for 2 hours and had a pitcher of beer for $15. You are not going to find that kind of deal anywhere else. I have attached a picture of the college night deals. However, they are Sundays from 7pm-10 pm and Tuesdays/Thursdays from 9pm-12am. It is $8/person for 2 hours or $9/person for 3. A pitcher of beer is just $7. One thing that I thought was cool was that they offer "bowling shoe slides". AKA: slippers that go over your tennis shoes so you don't have to wear traditional bowling shoes. We were able to bowl in the comfort of the shoes we wore there. Overall, HPL is perfect for a fun and casual night out. I will for sure be coming back regularly with my friends!

Me and my friends were celebrating the ending of our autumn semester at Columbus State with bowling! We ended up getting three lanes and just started having a good time! The place was huge there were plenty of bowling lanes they were shoes for every size and different styles as well. They have a ton of variety of bowling balls which was great for some of us who can't handle the small balls as well as the big ones. There are arcade games and pool tables off to the left when you enter the building. We got pizza and pop from there and they cut it up into squares which I highly suggest if you have a party larger than 4. When you see the initial sign in front of the building off Innis Road that is not the front of the building. You have to walk around towards the arch. Some of my friends were sitting on the other side which was not the entrance. So keep that in mind! Have fun, and enjoy people watching as well as some of the ongoing tournaments.

Staff is always friendly. Prices are very reasonable way cheaper than most bowling alleys and it's a very modern upgraded facility

We were assigned Lane 48 and paid for two hours of bowling. Almost immediately, there were issues with the pin system. it wouldn't recognize pins correctly and would remove pins that hadn't been hit. On top of that, the lane repeatedly freezing . We had to go to the front desk about five to ten times within the first hour just to report that the lane wasn't working. I eventually asked to be moved to another lane 47. While that lane was slightly better, it had its own problems, repeatedly shutting off entirely as if it were losing power. Once again, we were forced to walk back and forth to the front desk over and over. It honestly felt like we spent more time walking to report issues than we did actually bowling. We also tried using the microphone for assistance, but never received a response. A smaller issue, but still worth mentioning, is that the bowling shoes have been changed and are now very difficult to tighten, which made them uncomfortable to use. The second and third photos show how the lane would completely shut down. We ended up leaving early during the third game because we were tired of constantly dealing with broken equipment. It felt like a waste of money, and overall, I'm very disappointed with what used to be a place I enjoyed coming to.

This is inexcusable for a bowling ave. Dont wear your bowling shoes in here.

I brought with me my current bowling ball as reference because I was thinking of purchasing a new ball. For the record, this Black Web 2.0 was drilled by one "pro shop" and at the suggestion of another bowler I got my ball checked by another "pro shop". The second pro shop made some minor changes, with the hopes of improving my game. I took it to Toms the pro shop, after picking out another ball, Tom immediately noticed the ball I brought in was off by a 1/2 inch on both finger holes. After purchasing and trying out my new ball which was 30 dollars cheaper than the shop that I was going to buy it at, but it was closed on Sunday. It made a huge difference throwing a quality ball that fits properly. I drove 90 minutes to check this place out, I left my ball to be fixed and will be back next week to pick it up.

The ceiling in the women's bathroom has panels missing, I nervous thinking a camera was looking at me. The staff were friendly and very professional. I thought it was odd they had a young man stand on the wall and watch us the whole two hours we bowled. He wasn't present and watching anyone else until we were given our lane assignment. You asked how did I know that..... I arrived 15 minutes early before our large party arrived. I saw the young man, he was in the back and not standing around watching the other customers. Watch on sir but it did make us feel unwelcome. After we left I came back 10 minutes later to see if he had moved to another area watching customers. He wasn't present NOWHERE to be found. Interesting! !!! The kitchen staff was kind and seem to take pride with getting my large order correct, and they did get it right. I left a pretty hefty tip. The music playing is not of the 21st century. It's more of a 1970 playlist and video. Not a bad experience but could have been better.
