Maybe it was the tight space, maybe it was the time of the night, but something just seemed odd. I took a class back when I lived in Colorado, class was perfect in every way. Back to my story, let's call him "Bob", gave a fine 20-30 minute preamble of his career in law enforcement and now as an advocate for a certain political party. Ok, whatever he's proud, tooting his horn so the students look to him as a true accredited teacher. But then he starts handing out pamphlets and talking about when the next XXX Party meeting is. Whatever, people love their politics I guess, moving on. But then, he spends the next 45 minutes trying to sell everyone self-defense insurance through one company, saying we would get a special discount because we buy it through HIM. Giving out koosies, pens, large books for free (if you sign up before you leave!). I'm mad as hell. I just sat through 1.5 hours of basically his time-share type approach to making himself more money. The next thirty minutes were a little better, we watched an old video that had at least some scenarios to consider and learn from. Then back to the pulpit of politics for another 45 minutes. I can honestly say I learned absolutely nothing in that class
