What a great experience! I work for a major hospital chain and keeping my Basic Lifesaving…read morecertification up to date comes with the territory. Under normal circunstances, I would take the course, free of charge, at work, but Covid has taken this training online. I tried to hunker down and get this done, but I am obviously not a candidate for online life saving, because 1) I can't save a life on a computer and 2) I don't want to/cannot spend a crazy amount of time in front of a screen. It simply does not compute. I met Derek Walters when he was visiting a friend who was a patient in the hospital where I work. I learned he was an RN and he owned this company. He gave me his card, I tucked it away because I knew I was going to need it. I registered and paid for the class online, $60. At this particular class, there was only one other attendee, another health care professional. The facility is clean and open, with plenty of room to move freely. Derek is engaging, funny and light. He explained in detail all that is required, to pass the test and obtain certification. He used real life examples to get the lessons across.. His manequins were top of the line, easy to use for practice and demonstration. Derek made this class super fun. I can see he offers this service because of his love for the profession and his strong desire to give back to the community. I will not hesitate to come back in 2 years to recertify and I will tell everyone I know to skip the computer training. The Lasting Compressionss course is well worth the cost, even wthen facility training is free. AND...what a GREAT name, right?

I went in here for my Pediatric Advanced Life Support [PALS] skills testing last week. After being…read moreso nervous about the test, I barely slept the night before. I was pleasantly surprised by Robin, the instructor/tester. She really put me at ease and provided me with some reminders before the skills test. She even tailored the code blue events to my specialty of nursing. She made my case study about a child with tachycardia after surgery and she asked me what the causes were. Those are frequent situations I see and will continue to see in my field. I really appreciated the knowledge she shared with me and her friendliness. This was a good experience for me.

They assist you in preparing for the donation. The phlebotomist is prompt with their professional and caring treatment of the client (donor). Sometimes they fall behind, especially during peak hours, but by enlarge they are timely, and the treats are welcomed always. My one recommendation is to bring back the refrigerated bottled water. The fountain at the rear of the donation floor is not convenient to those that sit in the lounging area near the food court, they do have juice boxes in the refrigerator but if you are a diabetic, water is the preferred drink, cold water is better that room temperature from the pour down fountain. I recently took a Adult Beginner's Sewing Class: Level 1 at Sew Fun. I have been eager to take a…read moresewing class and found a lot of local adult art classes near me fill up quickly. So I was really excited when I found this sewing lesson shop. It was $125 for three classes. I took Monday evening classes that were meant to be slotted for 2 hours, but our sweet teacher would go earlier and stay later to let us finish the projects. Do know that this is not a true beginner class. I wish they noted that you want to take machine fundamentals before, but as a beginner I was lost a lot of the time. Our class felt like it had way too many students at times, because our teacher took a 1:1 approach and sometimes you'd be waiting for her help for a while. This does not affect my review, but our poor teacher got sick before the second class, so there was a lot of rescheduling. She did her absolute best to accommodate us which was really kind. I wish in the Level 1 we got an overall explanation of how to do things so we weren't left lost and waiting for our teacher to help us. Do know that a good amount of the tools here are well loved. On my second class, I ended up at two broken machines and wasn't able to finish my project that night. Thankfully the teacher let me come early the third class to finish it. Each class you create a new project. We made a tote bag, a zipper pouch, and a little bucket kitchen bag. I think if I went in knowing more about the machine I would've had a better experience. If you're a true beginner, be sure to take fundamentals beforehand or learn machine basics first.
