I saw the Dr. afterwards and he answered every single question I had. Even some concerns that I had about other issues that I was having. Explained everything in simple terms, which a few opthalmologists haven't done for me in the past. Thank you to everyone at this location!

I explained i had a new VSP benefit program and they were very sure what my benefits were. Rude and dismissive along the way. I tried to show them the benefit description i had but they could care less. "If its not in our system I don't know what to tell you." Rescheduled my appointment for 11am so I could speak to manager Diana when she arrived for work. When I called the benefit administrator to make sure I had clarification they were clear and gave me what I needed. I returned for 11am appointment which I met Diana who accused me of being rude to her staff before even hearing a word i had to say. I waited 40 minutes to be seen. Diana returned and explained where the discrepancy and confusion came from. Making me wait for 38 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment made it feel like every other doctor office. I called corporate to talk about the issue and they thanked me profusely because as they said, "If we don't hear from the customers, how are we going to know?" Now the good part when I was finally able to meet up with the Optometrist, Mohammad Zan, he was fantastic. His exam was thorough and his patience was evident in explaining all of my questions, no rush, no upsell, he was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I recommend him 100%. My question is this why do attitudes change after they realize your willing to go to the mat and get corporate involved. What it comes down to is hourly employees that could care less if paycheck comes from visionworks, walmart, target,or shoprite have no interest in customer service. They will when AI kicks in because customers are sick of this. If management isn't focused on customer experience and realize that the first person you meet could care less then that stores revenue will suffer immensely.

My glasses were purchased somewhere else and I couldn't get to my "usual" place, so I stopped into VisionWorks in Brick, NJ, since it's down the street from my office. Monica assisted me and was wonderful in performing the repair. She went over the store's policy for repairs on glasses that weren't purchased in-house, made the nose pad repair, tightened the loose temples, and made sure all the adjustments were comfortable for me. All that at no charge! A really nice experience!

He actually gave me a full exam and wrong prescription - because i had an extra contact lens in my eye! of course, I did not know, but don't you think he should have seen in?! I kept telling him I wasn't seeing right and what my presctiption is for years. I explained on phone what I found, they told me they understood and would call me right back, which occurred 3 times with no return call or appointment. I paid for a wrong prescription and they didn't care the least. Upon the 3rd or 4th call, they said, "I find that very hard to believe". I said, ME TOO! I've held off on writing this for MONTHS. I just had to say it. I saved the bad prescription.

Since my first appointment with her many years ago I've moved all over the place, including the Bronx, Queens, and Jersey City. Each time I have changed doctors, dentists, and more -- but I've never changed my optometrist. Dr. Costello is as good as it gets. She is very friendly and personable, and takes time explain things to her patients. While I've fortunately never had any eye problems, she's provided those in my family who have with top-notch care. She also helped me find a brand of daily contact lenses that work best for my eyes, allowing me to try several samples until I found one that I could wear comfortably. Also, her staff is very friendly and helpful, and her office is clean and modern. If you're in the Monmouth Country area and need a great optometrist, give Dr. Jamie Costello a try.

I had services provided more than a year ago and they still haven't figured out how to bill my insurance company. I've called them more than a dozen times only to speak with someone who was a total incompetent & after explaining how to do the billing the idiot continually sends me an invoice & then sends the account out for collection. I've dropped the company & now work with another eyecare provider & recommend that you steer away from this unprofessional, arrogant bunch of idiots. The doctor on staff has no bedside manner & I'm glad not to have to deal with him or his staff ever again.

I went online and started researching places by me. That's when I found here and read about Dr. VonRomer and his PRK treatment. A way less invasive and way less down time treatment. The office staff is the sweetest, the facility is outright gorgeous both the regular facility and the PRK suites. I went in for a free consult, was told I was a candidate, went in for a pre-op appointment with testing and was told I was good to go. Came in on a Friday, it took less than 20 minutes (honestly them prepping my eyes and reading the paperwork took longer!) and I went home same day. Came back on Tuesday and I was about 90-95% healed. His bedside manner is such a delight and he makes you feel completely at ease. I highly recommend him and the company!

I recently visited Invision Eye Care for what I believed would be a simple eyeglass exam, only to…read morewalk away feeling confused, frustrated, and completely disrespected by both the front-desk staff and the office manager. What happened: After eight months of recovering from retinal detachment surgery, my prescription had changed twice. I finally secured new insurance that would cover my eye exams--but it doesn't kick in until May 1st. I scheduled an appointment specifically for an eyeglass exam only and made it clear at check-in that I could not afford the (separate) contact lens exam until after May 1st. Unbeknownst to me, the doctor proceeded to perform both the eyeglass and contact-lens exams. I thought she was merely "tweaking" my existing contact prescription, so I didn't question it. The next day, I received a call from Susan ( who said she was the office manager ) at Invision telling me I owed $85 for the contact exam I had explicitly asked not to have. When I explained that I had not authorized or even realized a second exam was done, she brusquely replied, "Why didn't you stop the doctor?" and insisted I return the trial contacts. I then spoke with Niessa, the office manager, hoping for some understanding or compromise. Instead, she was condescending and rude--telling me it was entirely my fault for allowing the exam and that I must pay both charges. Why this matters: Lack of clear communication. I explicitly declined the contact-lens exam, yet no one bothered to confirm with me when the doctor performed it. Unprofessional customer service. Both Susan and Niessa refused to listen or offer any courtesy goodwill. Rather than resolving a genuine misunderstanding, they treated me like I was the problem. Lost trust (and a patient). Over an $85 fee, Invision Eye Care has now lost my future business--along with the cataract appointment I had already scheduled at that office. Bottom line: I understand policies exist, but a little empathy and clear communication go a long way. I left feeling like I wasn't respected as a patient or even a customer. Until Invision trains their staff to listen first and assume good faith, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend them.
