Bait and switch. The first appointment Dr. Karan was incredible. I'm writing after the second appointment and I feel we didn't see the same woman. We waited in the room for a while. When she came in she did not say a word to my daughter who was so excited to see her. She cut me off with the first question I asked and wasn't very nice for the 3 minutes she was in with us. Yes, 3 minutes! I had asked about lip tie and she was holding my daughters mouth open and my daughter looked like it hurt her. She held it for what i felt was way too long. I was just about to say something when she let go. I left very unhappy. My 2 year old left unhappy. I called to express some concerns about the visit and had to call back myself next day to follow up. When Dr. Karan called to ask me what happened she again kept cutting me off. Why ask? I know people love her but now these true colors have been shown. I think it's because the pickings are slim in this area. I'm willing to drive and find the best for my daughter and someone she can grow with. This was unnecessary and disappointing. 2 is a fragile age and this could have been the reason she'd hate the dentist. I wonder sometimes why doctors get into the pediatrics field when they don't work well with children. Thankful for the hygienist who was an angel and made this appointment for my daughter. After moving here and leaving our last pediatric dentist, it was time to find a new one. While I tried having my kids go to a general family dentist, I feel more at ease having them go to a dentist who specializes in working with children. Dr. Karen is fantastic with my children, (who wouldn't love getting a toy after their visit), as well as being a good dentist with a kid friendly office. Her staff is very nice as well and all of our appointments are on time. I highly recommend going there. read more

Dr Karan is just the best there is. I feel so lucky to have her so close to home. I've been bringing my 8 year old to her since her first dentist appt and brought my 3 year old son even sooner. We love all of the staff and trust them all. My son was so nervous to go to the dentist and the hygienist, Kathy, has made him so comfortable that he loves when it's time to get his teeth cleaned. I have been taking my son to Dr. Karan since he was one and it has been a great experience every time. Dr. Karen Estwick and her staff are very patient and kind. My six year old loves to get the prizes and play with the toys. Even my 10 year old who hates the dentist is able to be cared for their patient staff. Dr. Karen will sit there and wait for my daughter to calm down.
