Handyman-2U - Something else that Paul never fixed and just left it for me to get someone else to cover his errors

Paul has let us down bad style, I explained our circumstance. And the first words out of his mouth…read morewas I won"t let you down, not only that he ripped us off. Quoted us for doing quite a bit of work, and also charging us for doing a lot of investigation. As to what was going on with some of the wiring, only done a quarter of the work. But ended up charging us half the money that he quoted us for, he was very unreliable. He supposed to start the work on the 8th June 2023, contacted me on the 7th June asking if it was okay for him to start on the 9th June. As his partner only gets the occasional time off work, and that she was given the 8th June, and he wanted to spend time with her. During the conversation he tells me that he will work the Saturday 10th June to make up for not starting on the 8th, on the 9th June 2023. After being here for 1 hour tells me that he doesn't like working weekend, and that he will and do has much as he could in that day. To prevent him from working the Saturday 10th, turns up on the 12th June. Managers to complete a full day, get an email @01:45 Tuesday morning, telling me that he can't make on Tuesday 13th as something had cropped up. Get a texted message on Wednesday 14th won't be able to get you till 10:30, because I have got to fill a form out for an electrical charging point. Turns up just after 10:30, couple of hours into the job. It's to hot to work in this weather, and stops work @15:30. Next day Thursday 15th June, gets another text message telling us that he will be with us at lunch time. At 14:30 no sign contacts him via text message telling him to leave turning up, as it was getting too lat. Contacts me back telling me that he needs his tools, so that he could get to another job on Friday. So to rip us off he comments am I coming back to complete the work, I replied back. That I would get back to him in a a day or two, so that we could think things over as to whether we could rely on him completing the work, he then comments could we settle up now with the money. And that he just wanted to make sure that he got paid, I told him not to worry that I will pay him. But he replied I just want to make sure, so he worked out his price and I am sorry the day I ever paid him. Due to that fact of him letting us down so much, he may be okay on smaller jobs whereby he can pick and dues his work. But any big jobs he can't cope with, and this is we're he will let you down. Sorry Paul but you are a waste of space, you just don't like getting your hands dirty.

Emergency Plumber…read more Rogue Trader I contacted this company for a quote having found the details through a business search website which provided reviews. Through email contact, having fully described all the problems experienced, I was emailed back with details of the service I would need, along with the quote. I agreed to the cost and service being offered and followed instructions as advised by company to call when the problems were noticeable and detectable, knowing it would be a weekend at unsociable hours. I called as requested and was told the trader wasn't available. I explained the contact with the company, what type of plumber was needed as advised by the company and what it was for. I was told no problem and asked to pay a deposit of £65 immediately and another £95 to the plumber when he arrived. I declined as I explained the agreement between me and the company was quoted a total of £99. But he insisted I still had the pay the deposit regardless of any agreed prices. I informed him that I was not informed of any deposits or terms and conditions which he told me to take it up with the trader. But it was the traders phone number I contacted, as I did with emails. I was left with no choice but to pay the deposit requested, leaving my balance at £34 owed to the company. My bank card information, address and email details were requested and was told the receipt would be emailed to me and the plumber would arrive up to 90 minutes. The plumber arrived just after 12.30, having waited more than an hour and failed to carry out any sort of investigation or checks nor did he provide the service offered in the agreement. The plumber was also not qualified or experienced in the field that was needed and agreed in our contract. The plumber diagnosed the problem without any visual or physical checks within minutes of arriving with instructions on the solution to lessen the problem. Despite showing and describing the problems, he insisted he could not detect it as it was not present in his presence. Although it was clearly noticeable. He was finished in less than 10 minutes, requiring the full cost of £95. I explained full details of the agreement with the company when the plumber stated he did not work for the agency and was not informed of my requirements. He said the company act as an agent who have sub contractors. Despite explaining my dissatisfaction, I had to pay the cost of £95. But the plumber tried to leave without giving me a receipt which I had to ask for.nthe plumber left having spent less than 15 minutes in my home. I contacted the trader again requesting my receipt for the deposit and informing of my dissatisfaction with the service provided. I then wrote an email requesting a refund as I was not provided with a reasonable service at a reasonable cost. My refund was declined and I emailed my complained, requesting the refund again and failure to do so would result in me having to take matters further with negative feedback. I was hounded by calls and emails, warning me of legal action and charging me for losses if I left negative feedback. I continued to receive calls and emails having left a true and honest review, which the trader replied to with lies and unfair and very unprofessional comments. He has since blocked reviews being left after more customers surfaced with negative reviews. When I checked my bank account, I was charged £69 and not £65 as requested by call handler. Not only was I mislead with the service I needed, the dishonesty with charging me £65 more than agreed cost and charging me a higher cost for the deposit and failing to provide me with a receipt, then using bullying tactics into trying to intimidate and scare me, proves this company to be a rogue trader.
