This staff member (the same guy every weekend) is always so cheerful and friendly. It gets interesting once you come inside. You would almost feel guilty if you walked away depending on how many sausages you have tried. Their cooked gourmet sausages is a great hook to come inside. Truly divine. More like a deli instead of a butchery of gourmet meats. The staff are so energetic (full of protein literally) and I always (without fail) order two parmas that just need to be whacked into the microwave for a few minutes, and they are just a meal in itself for me on those respective two nights a week I am not in the mood to cook. In fact, I love finding store like these because I get to stock up on healthier options and feel better about myself. But the problem I have with this store is that it is quite costly to shop at. I realised I was paying three times the amount from another local fruit shop and getting the exact same fruit. My solution: stop buying fruit here! But is till frequent this store for it's good range of gluten-free products and organic produce. I guess there are some things you just have to pay good money for.

Unfortunately, this store is my second choice but at times, has offered a good variety of fresh fruit and vegetables at competitive prices compared to its neighbour. However, I have to say that the service staff at Green Apple Fruit and Deli are certainly uninterested in anything but chatting among themselves. On more than one occasion I've had to wait for the cashiers to finish their chat before being served. And I'm not one to be picky about these things but when you're rushing home to cook dinner with a handful of groceries, you really want to just pay and get out of there. Besides that, I've picked out some very sad looking vegetables before and handed it to the counter staff to be thrown out- but when I was there the day after, the same sad bunches were still for sale. That being said, this store does have its perks - like super cheap seasonal fruit (while stocks lasts) and a good range of gourmet condiments. But unfortunately, playing second fiddle to its larger next door neighbour is only expected.
