I'm really happy I was able to meet Susan she was one of the coolest people in the library she actually gave us a chance to investigate one of the haunted rooms seeing we are a paranormal team that chance was given and me and my brother can't thank you enough because not a lot of people wanna give that chance to a team that's just starting out and even learning more as we go along with our investigations we will definitely be back to do some more paranormal investigating this place didn't disappoint at all again thank you Susan .

Secondly, it was obviously decorated with love and excitement in their job. The displays are adorable (for kids) and calming (for adults). Third, the building is new and feels spacious as you browse around or look for a place to read (including their outdoor patio). The parking lot also has plenty of room for visiting cars.

So after hitting the Yale Center for British Art, we speed walked (sped walked?) over to the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Why? Google it and you'll understand when you see the pictures. Beinicke is Yale's rare book and manuscript library - not their main university library or their law library. The reading room is open to registered researchers only, but the public are welcome to visit the library's exhibition hall. And everyone visiting New Haven should! The library was built in 1963, and the the architecture is incredible. The building is a granite veneer shell, fastened to a structural steel frame. Inside that structure is a glass-enclosed tower of book cases. The granite was milled to 1.25 inches thick to allow filtered daylight in - in the afternoon/early evening, the marble turned an amber color. We walked back past it at night for a different view of the building. It is really incredible architecture, and the library hosts exhibits you can see in the exhibition hall when you visit to enjoy the building (when we visited, the exhibit was "Taught By the Pen: The World of Islamic Manuscripts"). The building is incredible and definitely worth a visit if you're exploring the Yale campus!

The general public has limited access, and this will be a short stop for most people, depending upon the exhibit. Let's be honest--most people stop by for a photo op, for the architecture and the huge column of books. I got a few great photos, got to say I've seen it, and it's cool. Worthwhile. Renovations were done throughout the years and even an addition in 2006. The library is architecturally beautiful. There were plenty of parking. It was large, organized, and quiet. We went to the children's section and it was massive. There was a class going on for the kids. I noticed it's more catered to elementary/middle school kids. There was a small preschool section, but there was only a play kitchen with no accessories for it; toy pots and pans, toy food etc. They had a sensory board wall and some play costumes. They had a fish tank and so many fun decorations. The library is a great resource; they offer free and discounted museum passes and more. This is a great asset to Bristol for sure, but wish there were more entertainment for kids 4 and under.

I love this library - it's located in a quiet, grassy area surrounded by a school, historical…read morebuildings, a church, and I believe a fire department. There's a lot of open space and on a Saturday, an excellent place to let a dog stretch his paws and sniff. The library itself is beautifully designed - you walk into a little book nook and stare into a stained glass window. The interior has dark wood accents with a decorated children's space enclosed from the adult's, and a small reading area with a huge ceiling adorned by a quilt. The vibe of the building was very studious, and definitely encouraged reading.
