I've been looking into acupuncture for a long time and received a very enthusiastic recommendation…read moreabout Dr Ming. Upon my first appointment, I filled out a very long form (which I wish I had been told to show up early cause it was very extensive) and proceeded to the one of the therapy rooms. Upon entering, I was instructed to put on a Johnny (thus stripping down to my skivvies) and wait for the doctor. By the end of my first appointment, I had three doctors huddled over me trying to figure out what the best course of action was. Usually, I would say this is overwhelming, but I felt like I was involved in the decision making since it is my body and my chronic ailment is something I've been living with for years (epidermis related). Once the strategy was set, action was taken. From the moment I walked off the elevator, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the office. The incense and soothing music help to create the healing environment I so much need. Actually, the music was a surprise. I usually hate the style of smooth jazz/elevator music they have on. But, that should tell you how much I enjoy the care and results! Each appointment begins with a brief talk and current issues. Over two months of treatment, I have better control of my issue and have even solved other ones I didn't know I had. One in particular was a not in my neck. After complaining about forearm tightness, Dr Ming informed me that my neck was really tight. The next session, one of the male masseuses had me sit up and dug into my neck. The knot he pointed out was gone, crazy! I could rotate my head and a lot of the tightness everywhere was gone. What I learned then was you can always go deeper. Now, they are currently working on my back and shoulder (one of them I had an accident years ago with) and I can feel my alignment much better than ever. Can't wait to go back next week! And as a tip for budgeting. Check with your insurance. Usually you have to pay to get benefits. Go to the appointments! Maybe it will take you 10 appointments to have your insurance cover ten appointments? It's worth the money! IF your going to go out drinking for the price in NYC, you might as well do this weekly!

I am now continuing onto the next phase and feel immense gratitude and relief to know I will continue to have Erin and acupuncture supporting me. She is always willing to give extra advice about diet, nutrition and movement without ever being prescriptive. I value our conversations and her incredible talent and dedication. Over the past three months, my C5, C6, and C7 vertebrae have undergone remarkable healing and recovery. I'm truly grateful to say that surgery is no longer necessary. What I want to share today is that meeting Dr. Ye is both a rare and fortunate encounter. Dr. Ye has a unique background, having studied both Chinese and Western medicine in China and Japan. His exceptional skill, combined with his deeply compassionate approach, offers a truly holistic path to healing. However, successful recovery also requires your own commitment--having faith in the treatment process and partnering with Dr. Ye over time. I've seen people search widely for renowned doctors, only to try a session or two and give up, missing the deeper benefits of a sustained, cooperative treatment journey. Even the most skilled physician can only do so much if the patient is unwilling to trust and follow through, and in the end, it leads to wasted time, money, and possibly a delay in achieving true recovery. If you are in need of Dr. Ye's expertise, I wholeheartedly encourage you to reach out--and most importantly, to commit to a consistent course of treatment. With patience and dedication, I believe you too can experience full recovery and the joy of renewed health.

She has seen another TCM doctor before but she was recommended Lin Sister. We didn't have an appointment and luckily they were not very busy. You fill out the form and they give you a number. The TCM doctor call you by that number. The clinic entrance is in the back of the shop and up one flight of stairs. We waited for about 15-20 minutes and was seen. He held her wrist and listen/feel the pulse. He asked a bunch of questions and wrote down a bunch of notes. He asked if she was sleeping good? Do you get up to use the bathroom middle of the night? Do you have headaches? Is your mouth dry? Are you pooing once a day? After 15 minutes of this, he gave her a list of Chinese herbal medicines to purchase downstairs. Told her to come back and see him in about a week or two after she is done with the meds. The modern (Americanize) TCM is now in packets and you mix them in hot water for consumption. The boiling actual herbs and ingredients in a pot days are gone! Interesting! Not sure what I make of this but what I can tell you is that my friend didn't feel any difference. I understand it's not magic potion and it takes time. A couple of months later, my friend saw a specialist and had a bunch of testing and blood work. She was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. :-( Consultation $40 Herbal Meds $8 for a set x 7 days.

Traditional Chinese medicine is supposed to craft a recipe for each patient according to their symptoms. Apparently Dr. Chen has earned much profit from the general willingness to pay a high amount for treatment in Americans and deviated from the right mind of a medical practitioner. I find that he tends to adopt treatments methods that elongate the treatment process than ones that are most effective. (I switched to an online diagnosis with a doctor in China and the treatment cured my digestion issues within days and with really inexpensive medicine while Dr Chen would insist at least a 10 time session which amount to 1500 dollars. Could be more if you buy the herbal medicine) There are relatively few options for Chinese traditional medical practice in Manhattan but it doesn't mean you should settle with this.
