We were walking down Main St on our way to the food truck festival when we came across Amy's…read moreCupcake Shoppe. Truthfully, I was on the hunt for a bathroom, but was more than willing to grab a sweet treat while we were there. I had already peeked at what people were enjoying out on the patio, and on such a perfect spring day, it was hard to pass up. We ended up trying a few macarons. They were beautifully displayed and there were so many flavors to choose from. We had a family dinner later that day, so they felt like a great option to bring along. We stopped in closer to 1pm so I'm guessing the selection of donuts and cakes was a bit picked over compared to the morning hours. That said, they still have a good variety and I would definitely go back earlier in the day to try one of those donuts! We had a few questions about how the macarons would hold up in a warmer car, and the employee helping us was happy to answer everything. It seemed like the owner was there as well and heading out for the day. She was very kind, especially to let us use the bathroom. One quick note, Google shows Amy's Cupcake Shoppe as permanently closed, so they may want to look into updating that. Overall, a really great stop and one I'm glad I stumbled into - those usually are the best!

The person behind the counter was very nice and was able to answer a couple questions I had about the macaroons. Thats what we got, some macaroons. They ended up being so good, crispy and chewy perfection. The flavors were great too! Also on the menu was donuts, cupcakes, and even regular cakes (even though they were sold out for the day) Definitely worth the stop anytime youre in downtown Hopkins. And PS, they do have a bathroom!

Cute little bakery with delicious pastries and goodies. We stopped by for a quick bite before a day…read moreof exploring downtown. We got a couple donuts and I got a London Fog latte - all of which were delicious. We also picked up an assortment of cookies - my brother-in-law and I love to sample unique foods, but particularly baked goods. We also picked up a couple cupcakes for a picnic we planned to have at the falls later in the day. Everything as good - there was a coconut oatmeal cookie (I think) that I loved. Part of my experience at any place is always customer service along with the food. It matters to some but doesn't matter to others. I will say, it was really off putting because the two people we came across to help us seemed put off by a couple questions I had and when I asked for their recommendations. There was no line behind us, not a single person, and we went back and forth on some flavors so maybe that upset them. I don't know what it was but it left an unfortunate impression.

Stopped here to do birthday desserts!! Here are the key things to note!…read more Free parking Great patio!! It was covered and the flowers around this place are gorgeous!! You are looking out to a street but the flowers REALLY make up for that! There is inside seating as well, table and chairs. You walk up and order. The desserts and separate from the main course items. I appreciated that! Made the lines go faster. The service on the other hand was lacking. I stood there waiting while 2 people had a convo and I felt ignored. I dropped a star for that reason. The key lime pie and dirt cup were very tasty!! This place is known for its "pattiecake" but I just felt it was a regular chocolate cake with frosting. They have plenty of desserts though! Overall this place gives "up scale Panera vibes" and I liked it! I would go back!

After several visits over the last few years, here are my thoughts…read more -Lots of seating! If you're looking for a table indoors and the main area is packed, head to the back (towards bathrooms) where you'll find two rooms with additional seating which are usually quieter. - I tend to go for sandwiches, which include house made chips. Honestly, when I first went, I wasn't a fan of the chips, but it didn't take long for me to like them. Once while dining in, I found that most of them were just tiny bits. Well when the waiter came to ask how things were, I told/showed him... just as an FYI, not expecting anything. Well, he kindly brought me a bag to replace them. -The staff is mostly kind, with two male waiters/runners being especially nice and helpful. While myself or others are waiting they'll give friendly smiles, see if you need anything in the meantime. I like them! - Although I go mainly for the sandwiches, (my favorite being the Southwest Chicken Panini available in the Fall), I also like the mac and cheese and fries. I used to love the coconut cake, but something about the last one I bought tasted different. The filling and the cake texture... weren't as tasty as I remember. During my last visit I tried, the Reuben. Not for me, but they have lots of other things to try.
