Dr. Azi is not only professional but very caring toward his patients and staff. While maintaining a high level of professionalism toward me, I also witnessed his playful side with his staff while they were working on my file/insurance. I had my initial surgery back at the end of 2019. At first everything seemed ok other than a lot of pain. On the 10 day after my surgery I started bleeding so bad that I barely made it to the ER. I had to have a blood transfusion and emergency surgery to repair an open artery from a failed stitch. the next morning after surgery, i woke up in intensive care and realized that I was bleeding again. Back down stairs to the Operating room for another blood transfusion to correct another failed stitch, same stitch believe. Of course the Dr. office and the hospital billed me over $70k to repair THEIR failed stitching twice in a row. No responsibility for failing to do it right the first time. I have been fighting the extra billing since, and get nowhere. Just the ow well SH** happens clause. Have had PTSD since this happened, and I cant get any cooperation from the Dr. Office or the Hospital. read more

The doctor did not do his job as he should. All he talked about was how experienced he was, how good he was... (good doctors don't need to do any of that), when I asked him to be extra gentle in the examination because I have a lot of pain, his answer was "what do you think I have been doing for the last 30 years?" So, I left the appointment knowing a lot of the arrogant doctor which barely allowed me to speak and inform some important facts about my currentvhealth situation, assumed some wrong details, did not allow me to correct his assumptions, and I left the appointment without knowing how many fissures I have, their location, how deep, how serious,... etc. I know nothing about my condition. Because he and his team were in so much hurry. The total time this doctor spent with me did not exceed 7 minutes. Terrible experience! read more

Horrible experience with this practice, more specifically, with Dr. Azimuddin. I came in with with an extreme case of hemorrhoids that were prolapsed and bleeding profusely with every trip to the bathroom. Upon a quick examination, my condition was dismissed as being "minor" with very little compassion to the amount of pain and discomfort I had been experiencing for more than 10 days. After the exam I was moved to his office where I was kept waiting for a good length of time. He finally came in to inform me further about my very minimal/minor situation by explaining to me how he had written "the book" about hemorrhoids and that ALL practices and hospitals use His Book as a reference tool for the treatment of hemorrhoids! I was in total disbelief and shock that he kept praising himself going on-and-on about His Book that he very proudly showed to me to try and convince me not only of his expertise on the subject, but that my condition was minor in his "very expert" opinion!!! Needless to say I was sent home with an Rx for lidocaine gel and a fiber regiment. I knew in my heart of hearts that I needed more help. This was NOT going to go away or get better with any amount of cream or gel or FIBER!!! After barely surviving the remainder of the week I had an appointment to get a second opinion with another colon/rectal surgeon. After showing her the pics on my phone of "my situation" (the same pics were shown to azimuddin) she immediately knew I needed surgery without any further physical examination!!! Two days later I had two external and three internal heavily prolapsed hemorrhoids surgically removed and classified as Emergency Surgery. This man acted as a proud peacock who only cared to praise himself of his accomplishments instead of focusing on the care of the patient and the true severity of the problem that obviously was grossly misdiagnosed. read more

Doctor was nice and efficient but exam room was disgusting. Pubic hairs on the exam table and the last thing you want to see at a colon Socorro is brown stains all over exam bed. I will attach at picture so you can see. I even asked the nurse to clean the bed and she failed to touch any of the brown splatter marks. I specifically pointed them out and asked if it was FedEx and she said "that's just from people's shoes". Gross!!! read more

Dr. Azimuddin was my surgeon for a required total colectomy. Naturally, having to have a complicated surgery was incredibly scary and the recovery process was difficult. Dr. Azimuddin was wonderful, though, throughout -- leading up to the surgery, the surgery itself and the recovery process. He is very direct and frank, which I appreciate greatly. Most importantly, my surgical results were about the best you can have with this type surgery. I had no complications from the actual surgery and my recovery process -- albeit difficult -- was easier than what most patients experience with a total colectomy. Dr. Azimuddin has been my doctor through a total colectomy, ostomy reversal, a couple diagnostic procedures, some hospital stays, and many in-office visits. He is always friendly, makes me feel comfortable, and is always concerned about my progress. He gives direct answers and takes the time to make sure I (and my parents) understand things. I always feel comfortable asking him any questions I have. Any nurse or hospital staff I've talked to always has great things to say about him. I can not praise this office enough. During a very stressful time that we are all in right now I was able to get in to see Dr Azimuddin as a new patient very quickly. I have suffered for many years with something it turned out not to be, but was treated and cured a total miracle. Dr Azimuddin is hands down the best doctor I have ever been to and I have been to a lot starting over 20 years ago with this rectal problem. He is very attentive and knows exactly what you need. He treated me more as a family member than just a patient. I have severe anxiety and never once felt anxious going to an appointment. I feel as though I have found someone I can trust and that is a wonderful feeling. I am really glad I was referred to Dr. Azimuddin by my PCP. I had terrible hemorrhoids and he walked me through my options, before I made the decision to have a hemorrhoidectemy. He doesn't show much emotion and it straight to the point, which I appreciated, but not everyone does. A few days after my surgery, he saw me for a same day appointment because I was in pain that I thought was more than I thought I should feel. But after a discussion and guidance on keeping on top of my medications, within 24 hours, I was a different person. It was like a light switch. While he seems unemotional, he seems to really care about his patients, and was very patient with my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Azimuddin to anyone for any procedures or office visits he offers. read more

WORST BILLING PRACTICES EVER! Appt #1 they waaaaay overcharged. Appt #2 was cancelled well within the 24 hour required notice & they still tried to bill us $50.00. Finally got that taken care of, but after 5 months we are STILL waiting on a refund of $120 from Appt #1. They give me the run around every time I call and most recently I was told "the check is in the mail". LOL! What a joke.
