Moreover, I've found that many realtors have only recently become licensed, and therefore they haven't yet built a worthy network of business contacts and clients. The net effect of having so many "newbies" or "part timers" entering the real estate industry means you have to be extremely pragmatic and careful when selecting your real estate representative. When my wife and I decided to sell our primary home of 26 years, we selected The Mojo Team, specifically, Morgan Hodges, to represent us. Morgan and his family were neighbors and friends of ours, which was very nice. But just as important, Morgan had an incredibly detailed knowledge of the neighborhood and the market, plus, he had a admirable network of potential buyers and investors, qualities and attributes that sadly many realtors do not have. After briefly speaking with Morgan, he quickly put a game plan together. What impressed us the most was that Morgan's first question was, "What do you want to get out of this sale?" We gave him a sales figure we had in mind, but we also explained that we were very private people and we're not enthused about the prospect of "open house showings" and a parade of strangers invading our privacy. Morgan assured us the selling process would not be painful nor lengthy. And those assurances were kept. In coordination with Dana Litz, Mojo's outstanding Operations Director, a contract was signed, and professional photos were taken of our home. But no showings were necessary, for within an incredibly short time, Morgan had surfaced a qualified buyer who made a full price cash offer that met our financial goals. It also relieved us of the burden and stress of having to open our home up to strangers. Dana's communication skills were impeccable. Liking customers is a behavior, and something that can't be trained. Dana updated my wife and I frequently, and also walked us through the entire sales process. And because of the ongoing Pandemic, and our reluctance to conduct too much business in person, the myriad of necessary paperwork was accomplished via DocuSign, which also included a virtual notary and wire bank transfer of funds (always the best part for sellers). I could go on, but I'll leave you with this advice. Sure, you can sell your home yourself, or try using one of the dubious "flat fee" real estate websites. But if you want the highest market price for your home, with the least amount of hassles, then look no further than The Mojo Team.
