Ed was recommended to us by our Realtor. He was very thorough. He told us from the beginning that he would like to inspect first and then discuss with us, but we could tag along if we liked. He spent about 2.5-3 hrs on our potential 3.5 bedroom house. He first inspected different areas by himself and then pointed things out to us later. He even went on top of the roof and took photos from the top, to show us. He spent a considerable time in the basement inspecting the furnace, heater, water pipes and main girder beam from below. He managed to find things which we hadn't even noticed and even gave us home improvement and maintenance tips. The house was in need of updating, and Ed provided a realistic overview of what would be needed, in both the short time frame (less than 5 years) and the longer time frame. There was no sugar coating, just factual analysis and sounds advice on what would need to be done. The inspection was very thorough, every crawl space, crack, drain, faucet, outlet and appliance was tested, along with all the structural features of the home. He speaks only when he has something to say, and will patiently take time to explain anything that you have questions about.
