I have had numerous classes at studios all across the Chicagoland area, and they have been phenomenal. In this particular instance, I was trying to get a workout in after a really long day and made it just in time to class but because I did not have a credit card to put on file (darn Apple Pay), and so they would not let me in. I understand policy and procedure, but I also understand loyalty and commitment to a studio community and I've been a member for 2 years at orange theory. I feel that I was dismissed, unheard, and especially because this has never been an issue at any other studio, it was quite upsetting. I have always been welcomed with such enthusiastic coaches and support staff, but not at Geneva. Needless to say, I hope the people who attend this facility have a great experience, but I will not be returning. To be quite honest from the moment I walked in I didn't really feel a genuine welcome. but as I do have a vast experience with studios in the Chicagoland area, I do have to give a shout out to the South Barrington studio, because they're amazing, the Rivernorth studio in the city, along with the Streeterville, old town, and Southloop studios are all incredible! So if you have a moment to check those out, please do!! And I will leave you with us, I don't usually leave reviews unless I really feel an injustice or bothered and this is one of those times unfortunately. Again, I commend those who have had a good experience here, but I will not be returning. In a world, where there is so much going on, a little kindness and compassion, and the time to understand goes a really long way.

We both love the variety in each day's workouts, the consistency of the format and layout, and the mix of cardio and strength training. It's perfect for all fitness levels. I enjoy the lap pool but it has no shallow side so for me to get out of the pool is challenging since I am very petite in height. The warm water pool is extremely enjoyable. Unfortunately, for many of my class pass classes that has been my experience. I get it, you want to build loyal customers but no one wants to be pestered. I have no issues being pestered here. You walk in, check in with front desk, put your belongings away, grab whatever materials you'll need for class that day and get settled in. No hassles. The classes are challenging but not impossible, which is exactly what I was looking for. Because of my work, I kinda just pick a day of the week that best works for me. Because of this I have had 3 different instructors and all have been phenomenal. They are patient, helpful, and knowledgeable! It's important to note that grippy socks are required for each class, they sell some at the facility, but it's probably cheaper to buy it via Amazon! The complex includes a summer open pool, day care center, baseball fields, soccer fields, and other programs for children, families, singles and seniors. The site continues to evolve to meet the needs of the community. The staff are in large part part time and mothers. They are part of the neighborhood and proud of the town. The trainers are quite often physical therapists who are looking for flexible hours. The equipment is constantly updated with workout areas and a racket ball / handball court. You don't have to live in Geneva to take advantage of the fitness center. It just makes it cheaper. If you are a senior citizen, you will want to enroll separately from your spouse. It is cheaper.
