I had been to Philip Pelusi before and I wasn't wild about the service. I was also concerned about cost. In addition, I had not had much luck with hair stylists so I was unsure. As it turned out, Philip Pelusi ended up being less expensive than the other hair stylist I was going to and that place was not as high end as Philip Pelusi. The service I received was excellent. I saw Shannon and I am happy to say that I have found my hair stylist. I had been trying to go blonder for a while. I had two different stylists make me a brown, brassy blonde and another stylist thought I looked better darker. So after much past frustration, I was elated when Shannon actually WORKED with me. She listened to my concerns and wants for my hair and came up with a plan. Not only did she make me lighter but she discussed my options if I wanted to go lighter beyond that. She also suggested getting some length off due to the color variation in my ends due to past hair colors I had. I never thought of getting length off, but I am so glad she made the suggestion, I love it!!! For the first time ever, I felt like I received the true hair salon treatment. We discussed what I wanted to do and then I was consulted for a decent period of time on my options. I would definitely reccommend giving them a try, great service for a reasonable price!!! She is easy to book appointments with and has a nice variety of availability. The salon itself is bright and nicely set up. There are two nail techs and several stations for stylists. They have two shampoo sinks (where you can also get waxing done) and two dryers. Shelby has done cuts, colors and full highlights for me and also done cuts for my kids. What I like is that she is honest about what will and won't work with colors and styles. If she thinks something won't last or that you won't be happy, she will tell you and suggest alternatives that might work better. She works efficiently but you never feel rushed and her prices are very affordable. I always look and feel amazing after a visit to Shelby. Highly recommend her!

First, I went to her for a hair trial and she helped set up a makeup trial with Beth at the same time; first, my trial experience was wonderful. They were on time, personable and chatting with me the whole time. While I truly did enjoy my trial hair, the more I looked at it, the more I wanted something different. Sami didn't even blink an eye when I showed up on my wedding day with a different idea and inspiration photo. On top of my own beauty needs, she also helped coordinate with Lisa Marie and another makeup artist to help with my five bridesmaids and the various mothers involved.
