Stan and the team showed unreasonable hospitality. Hosted a retreat for 23 executives and it was a perfect fit!

As an IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite member, we frequently stay at IHG properties and have generally had positive experiences. Unfortunately, we experienced an unexpected medical emergency that prevented us from traveling. As soon as we realized we would not be able to make the trip, we contacted the hotel and explained the situation. Because we were outside the cancellation window, we asked if the reservation could be moved to the following day so we could still use the stay. Unfortunately, the medical situation prevented us from traveling at all. We fully understand that hotels have cancellation policies, and we were not disputing the policy itself. What disappointed us most was the tone of the communication that followed : "We fully empathize with you but blaming hotel for your personal problems does not go well with any more consideration." The situation felt unnecessarily confrontational rather than empathetic given the circumstances. We escalated the matter to IHG Guest Relations, but the hotel's decision was ultimately upheld. Policies are important, but when guests are dealing with genuine medical emergencies, a little understanding can go a long way. We hope the hotel will consider approaching similar situations with more empathy in the future.

When we arrived around midnight, there was no greeting or even basic courtesy. The front desk attendant acted like we were interrupting her night and got an attitude over our reservation--insisting we only had one room when our app clearly showed two. Her response was that she didn't see both rooms because we checked in online. Only after we had all our luggage loaded onto the cart with a flat tire did she tell us the elevators weren't working--and that no rooms were available on the first floor. It would've been courteous to receive a phone call prior to arrival letting us know about the situation. Had we been elderly or disabled, I doubt any assistance would have been offered. As it was, we had to haul a full cart of luggage up three flights of stairs after midnight, without a single offer of help. Once in the rooms, it got worse. One room had only one towel, a towel thrown in the closet, an earring back on the floor, and a strange blue stain on one of the beds. The second room had a broken security lock and a bed that wasn't even made. When we returned to the desk to request a room change, the attendant mentioned there had been "a lot of police activity lately" and that she'd mention the cleaning issues to housekeeping. We've stayed at many Hampton Inns, including in far rougher areas, and never had an experience anywhere near this bad. The customer service, cleanliness, and maintenance at this property are unacceptable. Absolutely avoid this hotel. It does not meet Hampton Inn standards in any way.

The entire property is dated, dirty and run down, including the parking lot, lobby, the hallways and room. Upon arrival I immediately wish I could have cancelled my reservation. The area is sketchy and there are people living in their cars in the parking lot. The lobby smells strongly of curry. There was no one at the front desk, so we rang the bell and a woman with her baby in a stroller appeared and checked us in. This place looks like it's falling apart. The first-floor hallway has a leaking pipe from the ceiling. You have to shimmy around the garbage can placed below to collect the dripping water. The room is dated, there is no fridge, and the door didn't always close securely. The wash cloth I used appeared to be dirty or stained, the bedding looked warn, dirty and had holes. There was a french fry left behind from previous guests, so rooms aren't cleaned very well. The shower drain is extremely slow. Because of the condition of the property, we decided not to have the free breakfast. I'm thankful we only stayed one night. I wish I took pictures to show how gross it was. You've been warned.

Cleanliness. IT WAS VERY CLEAN. 2. Comfort of bed. COMFORTABLE BUT THE SHEETS WERE NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO REMAIN TUCKED IN AND HE TOOK ALL THE BLANKETS 3. Comfort of pillows. Fun facts: my aunt got married here in the 90's when it was the Cañon Inn, I also got married here in the 2000's, but it was bought by Quality at that time! Our stay was Tuesday night thru Saturday morning. Checking in the front desk gal was sweet and attentive. My husband had thrown the card with the internet passcode on it into the outside trashcan accidentally, so I had to go back down and get that info again from her. I complemented that the room was bigger than the photos showed online (we stayed in a 2 queen room and there was room for our kiddos blow up bed and all our luggage!) The free breakfast was just okay, nothing too crazy, except the waffles were very yummy (when there was table syrup instead of sugar free syrup available) but can't complain too much when it's FREE! We knock a star off because our room was not cleaned and our towels were not replaced, even with asking the front desk, the entire time we stayed. That's 4 nights; and they told me they clean every 3rd day... on the 3rd day, we stayed in our room in the morning and never heard a housekeeper knock or anything... our trash was overflowing and we had to put our used towels in the tub, just so we could use the toilet in the tiny bathroom. The sink in the bathroom did not drain very well, but we only really used it for washing hands and teeth brushing so it wasn't a huge deal to us. The beds and pillows were comfy, the tv didn't connect to the WiFi and therefore could not connect to Netflix, but we had food network on whenever we were in the room. The internet was fast and our kids enjoyed watching their tablets before bed with no interruptions.

This was my first non-chain hotel/motel. There were maybe a dozen rooms, with parking right in front of your room. No alarm clock, but we also recently stayed at a big chain motel that had one we couldn't correct the time on, so I can't really complain there! Everything was very clean. Wifi was available, but the whole time I was there it was up one minute, down the next. Fortunately that's not why we were there! The bathroom was small, and the tub surprisingly short. Barely a foot tall? I don't think you'd be able to take much of a bath, so consider it a shower. Water pressure was more along the lines of attempting to shower in a lawn sprinkler. No vents, so we got to open the window and watch the neighbor play with her dog. The owner? manager? a Polish woman we encountered in the office, was brusque, but accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
