They double charged us for months and when they finally "figured out" what was going on and stopped double charging us they claimed we never paid. Also, they prorate you for moving in but not out. So if you move out on the second, you have to pay the whole month. That way they get every single penny out of you they can. The location is out of the way, there is never anyone there, and they take forever to get back to you if you have a problem. Better luck at Uhaul or some other place.

I recently used Liberty Bell Moving & Storage for a full house move from New Hampshire to Maine…read more I was pleased at how easy the process was to go onto their website, fill out the online form and get a quick estimate. The movers did take longer than I had expected to load the truck, but this was due to the care they took while loading. The trucks were packed so well and everything was handled with such care, that we did not have any items get damaged in the move. The staff was all around great. They were friendly and very helpful throughout the process. I can't say enough about how nice the process was from beginning to end. I highly recommend Liberty Bell Moving & Storage.

Max, who I believe has been here about 4 months, is the absolute best. I had reserved a 10x30 unit,…read morewhich was way bigger than I needed but I wanted to have extra space to easily access my things until I find a house. I booked over the phone in advance, drove my 20ft Uhaul across the US, and arrived to find a lock on my unit. I walked over to the office, thinking that they might keep the units locked for security. Max hopped up to help, because he though it was open and ready for me. Seems an old tenant came by and put a lock on. Max drove 30 minutes away to get a file to take the lock off, and even then, me and my movers couldn't get the door open (Max tried and even called someone for help). To save time so I could return my Uhaul on time, Max found me two 10x20s (I only ended up needing one) and my movers unloaded everything into it. Max offered to move everything into my 10x30 the next day when they fixed the door (turns out a piece of metal from the lock had somehow blocked the lock, but none of us could see it). I decided to just keep the 10x20, since everything fit just fine, and Max adjusted my invoice to reflect the difference in price. THINGS HAPPEN. Excellent service and a can-do attitude are the best solution a company can offer. I couldn't have asked for more and am very happy to have my things stored here.

If there was a zero star option I would put that. From the time we requested a unit, my husband got…read morean email with the wrong size. He immediately called and the person working said oh sorry I will change it, don't worry. Gave him the number of the bigger unit. He wrote it down. I called to confirm the location the morning of and the worker confirmed the number and location of unit. Hours later our movers showed up and it was the wrong size unit and our stuff would not fit. My husband , myself and some family members all tried . I called every 2 minutes for hours my husband drove to the office and the sign said working at a different location ( NO ADDRESS given) but the same phone number we had been calling. Our movers were able to find a solution. I continued to call and leave messages every few minutes ( not exaggerating I was furious and wanted my money back) I tried for 2.5 days before I finally was in contact with someone over the Facebook page. Which one of the workers responded on their personal page very rudely and unprofessional. They tried to say that I was lying and I replied I would be very happy to provide my phone records. That's when I'm not sure if that person switched over to the halls Facebook account to reply or someone else saw her behavior and they replied that someone will call me shortly to resolve it . Well hours later no one called ( even though at least one worker was able to respond on Facebook back and fourth) she wasn't able to use the phone I guess . Hours later I called a different location and was finally able to get my money back! But all in all I was lucky my movers found a place big enough for my stuff but I had to pay for 2 extra hours of my movers because of this!!!

This review goes for their Portland location - I can't speak to the Brunswick one, but it…read moredefinitely seems like they care about Brunswick and Portland is an afterthought. The hours posted on their website when I was supposed to be able to access my stuff were "only for the Brunswick location." "Only the Brunswick location" has any hours for access over the weekends. None of this was clear in the contract I signed. During the hours they finally verbally gave me on the phone for when the Portland units are supposed to be accessible (8am to 4:30pm), which are really inconvenient for someone who has a job, they are sometimes randomly not open and nobody is in the office and nobody answers the phone. I've had to pay for an entire extra month so far and still haven't been able to get all of my belongings out of this terrible place because, as mentioned above, I have a job and when I work it out to get there (even if I call ahead) I continually can't access my unit to move my belongings out. This is coming from someone who is on an extremely tight budget - I would highly recommend you save yourself the headache and, for me at least, going on hundreds of dollars, and spend slightly more per month to store your stuff at Noyes Self Storage on Kennebec street - they are extremely professional, nice, much less sketchy-feeling inside, and have a very convenient loading dock setup. They're also open until 6pm on weekdays and 9am to noon on weekends. Hopefully one of these days I will be able to get the rest of my stuff out of my storage unit at Cumberland and never smell their noxious moth-repellant-mixed-with-toothpaste-mixed-with-whatever-CVS-uses-to-clean odor again.
