veal sausage with potatoes and onions

We didn't stay here, but we ate at the restaurant here. It wasn't bad and the lady that served us was really nice. It just wasn't surprisingly amazing or anything. I got a good place of veal sausage with potatoes and onions and my husband got a tomato soup with vodka and basil since he wasn't that hungry. And while it was good, it wasn't great and it was pretty pricey for what we pay for. I get it, we're in a small town called Lauterbrunnen, restaurant options are limited, but still, it was just pricey all together, even for what we get.

He was the awful manager who was yelling at my family and being racist to us calling us filthy names. Just for asking for an extra plate.

TOURISTS BEWARE! My family of four went to this restaurant craving some pizza as a snack before dinner because they claimed to be a pizzeria. The lady server who looked disgusted as soon as we walked in the restaurant. When sat down at our filthy table it was covered with sauce stains and crumbs, and there were a bunch of flies that invaded the shack of a restaurant. When that lady came to take our order, she was throwing so much attitude and being not helpful after that it progress fully worse she was at throwing a fit she was throwing stuff around and speaking Swiss German about us. She was calling us pigs. Talk about BAD SERVICE. We decided to ignore her and her foul language, and then we got our pizza we asked for four extra plates, but she was ignoring us and said four Swiss franks a plate. We got extremely frustrated and asked to speak to her manager. She stated that he wasn't in. So we started eating the pizza, and it tasted like it was straight out of the freezer. And the dough WASN'T EDIBLE. We asked for some crushed red pepper, but she was ignoring us. Then we said will go upstairs to the hotel and talk to the manager and will not pay for the meal. She then got worried and called the manager out. So she LIED to us. The manager came out and was yelling at us and being racist to us and calling us peasants who are being stingy we told him we just wanted a snack and then told us you used my restroom also. There was another family of 4 with younger kids and was mad at the manager who was yelling at us and using such foul language. We are customers we decide what we want, and as manager, he needs to learn to be polite and RESPECT his customers. I don't plan to return to this discriminate restaurant.

Amazing pizza and calzones reasonably priced! Best meal we've had in Switzerland by far.

We stayed in this lovely hotel in Lauterbrunnen in early March. The rooms were charming and unique,…read moreso unlike the large chain hotels. It was clean and the bedding was SO comfortable! Our room had a good sized balcony with table and chair and absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to the train station as well as the gondola to ride up the mountain. Also close to shopping at three coop store. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby. Staff super helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay at this property in Lauterbrunnen. Not sure how/why, but we ended up with the 007…read more(James Bond) suite. Smelled faintly of cigarette smoke (rooms are non-smoking, but they allow smoking on the balconies), but I just kept the window open and that helped. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the falls. Usually we don't like to eat at the hotels where we stay (unless we have to), but the restaurant here was top notch. Liked it so much we ate there 2 of the three nights we were in town. I had the deer both nights, absolutely scrumptious). Their pizzas seem popular, though we did not have one. Super conveniently located across the street from the train station and next to the cable car up to Murren and next to the Coop Grocery (easy to pick up snacks or a bottle of wine). Not for the faint of heart, though. Dragging our bags up the hill to the property was a job - thankfully we were up to it, but if you're booking keep your fitness level in mind (or maybe the hotel offers some sort of help? I didn't ask.) I would definitely recommend staying here. If ever back in Lauterbrunnen, I would stay again.
