The standard dinner menu is nice as well, creatively adopting local seasonal food like chanterelles ("lisky") and blueberries, but offering also quail eggs and snails, for those of us who want to go this route. Their pancakes are delicious ("Domaci livance s jahodovou omackou", 89 Kc) as well as our traditional Czech meals ("svickova", "koprovka", "kachnicka"). The wine list is OK, full of bottles from good Moravian wineries, and although the waiter has not been using the sommelier serviette while presenting us a sparkling wine Chateau Radyne Extra Brut at 389 Kc, it tasted super nice in the sweet Lipno sunset. Here's an idea of prices as-of May,: Appetizers/Soup/Salad: 80 Crowns, Entrees: 250 Crowns, Dessert: 80 Crowns, Drinks: 70 Crowns. All in all, with drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert, a couple would expect to pay circa 1,000 Crowns, perhaps a bit more with service added in. The visually beautiful and delicious selection of pastries greets the visitor when you walk in from the Central Square. We were attended to efficiently and in a very friendly way by the staff. We walked to the front case after sitting down and we're guided to select a wonderful pastry with light cream and satisfying dough. The cappuccino was excellent with delicious coffee and a wonderful foam. My wife enjoyed her oat milk latte. The location in the central square is just a great place to watch the world go by. It was so good, we basically "woofed it down" and ordered another one. Home-made cabbage soup - thick, hot and delicious. Definitely hit the spot. Beef goulash with dumplings - the quality of meat was first class. Classic dish that you can't go wrong with.
