So glad we did as droves of people were being told there were no additional tables available. Stepped through the wooden door and curtain into a cozy cave like dining area with a roaring fire cooking various meats. Step past the counter and enter two additional cave-like cut out areas, just as cozy. We were settled into a corner booth. The menu had english subtitles, but luckily some family members had been before so I closed my menu and let her order for the table. There was bread already on the table that in hindsight I should not have eaten as a platter (for 4) arrived consisting of even portions of two flavored saurkraut, banana peppers, baked potatoes, potatoes pancakes, pork ribs, beef ribs, chicken wings and pork knuckles. We immediately dove in so my picture unfortunately has a few items missing but consider the two a before and after. Our four could not eat it all so we have some lunch for tomorrow. It was a dining experience, delicious and plentiful. Servers were very attentive and willing to please. Enjoy!

We sat in the smaller room on the right, which also has a heating stove for the cooler days. The walls arch quite a bit, as my husband found out, when he bumped his head. That shows to pay more attention in historical buildings, such as this one. They have good variety of traditional Czech dishes. The menu is both in Czech and English. We ordered: Home-made liver pate with onion marmalade and bread. It was so good, we basically "woofed it down" and ordered another one. Home-made cabbage soup - thick, hot and delicious. Definitely hit the spot. Beef goulash with dumplings - the quality of meat was first class. Classic dish that you can't go wrong with. Roast pork with cabbage and dumplings - the most traditional dish you can possibly order in Czechia. It was divine. Mulled wine - which was my most favorite part of the dinner :) Highly recommend trying this place out when visiting Cesky Krumlov, you won't regret it.
