They demanded $500 in cash as a security…read moredeposit, and also demanded open-ended liability for me to pay for any potential "damages" during my stay, even though I've never in my life damaged a hotel room, as a condition of staying there. When I asked for a refund, they tried to trick me into canceling my non-refundable booking so they could keep the money and the room. Obviously, neither my husband nor I trust these people and yet they refuse to refund and cancel the reservation. Avoid! Note: I noticed that they keep changing the location and name of the hotel by adding other words after "The Place" (and maybe changing it all together) once they get a bunch of bad reviews, so they can start fresh without any reviews again. Check out all the horrific reviews for "The Place - Golden Suite", for example.

Depending on who is there to help you, they will help you bring in your luggage pieces. There are stairs, oh and FYI don't even think of cutting it cheap and walking. It is super far! So take a cab. The room was clean, the toilet was extremely close to the sink, for a smaller person like myself ish lol, I was peeing sideways! I am getting personal because if you are a bigger person, you will not like it and maybe not even fit. The tv did not work until my last night there so I would end my days early and watch US tv on my laptop. The breakfast was super good and buffet in the morning, so def take advantage of that because you do pay for it. To get a tram card the concierge will direct you to the smoke store on the same side and walk across the way and tram 14 to take you into the city centre is there! There are a few restaurants within walking distance to the hotel and they are pretty good! I stayed in a single room for one person and it was very content, since it is a twin bed, not sure if you stayed with a friend if it would be big enough or if there is another room set aside for two people. I would recommend this IF you do not mind traveling on the tram for 30 minutes whenever you want to go into town and quite far from the train station. I would stay here again though!

The quirky and original design, with high-quality cabinetry framed in aluminum studs, features good lighting and a very comfortable, radiant-heated bathroom with orange grout between light blue tiles. Enthusiastic, very courteous staff members could at times follow through more. (Cream for the in-room Nespressso coffee had to be requested three times, and the call from the desk for an early-morning taxi to Cadorna station for the Malpensa Express failed). The internal, courtyard-facing room was quiet, a blessing considering the construction noise on the external side. For the price, however, the room is too small, accommodating not even a reading chair. (A slightly smaller bathroom would have yielded a far more comfortable room.) Also not expected was the malodorous sewer gas from the bathroom sink (also encountered at the Hotel Ripa Roma). Is that a flaw in the Italian sanitation system? And as Rebecca H. of Westchester County observed on Oct. 24, 2022, the digital thermostat seems to have a mind of its own and doesn't retain the requested temperature, so that the room was often too warm.

Fresh contemporary design. Spacious, highly functional rooms. Incredibly friendly and helpful and on it staff including concierge Sara and Andrea. A lovely breakfast and lobby bar service.
