Our stay at the Una Maison hotel in Milano was a five-star experience!…read more The Una Maison is conveniently located in central Milano, just footsteps from the Duomo di Milano. We were able to walk to major tourist sights, restaurants and boutiques. Anything that could not be accessed on foot could easily be accessed by subway, bus and tram. The hotel immediately feels luxurious from the moment you step into the lobby. All of the staff were so welcoming and immediately offered us beverages and snacks. The lobby is decorated very modern, but not stuffy. Jars of candy in the lobby gave the hotel a fun and playful vibe. Our hotel room were absolutely incredible! Our spacious, modern-style room was luxuriously decorated and included a large bedroom with desk, a sitting room, a massive closet and bathroom. Our spa-like bathroom included designer toiletries and the most heavenly smelling bath salts. The beds were so comfortable. Once I slipped into the hotel's bathrobe and slippers I was tempted to never leave our room! There is no sit-down restaurant at the hotel, but they do offer room service in the morning. Since we had an early flight we decided to take advantage of room service and enjoyed breakfast in our sitting room. Breakfast included our choice of coffee or tea, juice, eggs, breakfast meats, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and milk, and pastries. The pastries weren't the best, but everything else was fine. If you wish to skip room service there are plenty of cheaper breakfast options near the hotel. If I ever have the chance to visit Milan again I will definitely stay at the Una Maison.

If you are traveling with an infant, they provide a crib, changing pad, blankets, bathing kit, and a diaper pail, which is beyond what other hotels of the similar tier provide. Usually they bring a crib and maybe a stuffed animal so a huge kudos to the Park Hyatt for that. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly although every so often you will get a receptionist who is a standoffish with an air of ennui. There is also a spa with saunas as well as a fitness room with the standard equipment including 2 treadmills, a rower, an elliptical, and 2 bikes along with complimentary still and sparkling waters (canned). If you are visiting Milan and want to be in the center of it all, this is a great option.

Any time I tried to order an Uber, the pickup point was a 5-10 min walk away - (this will probably resolve itself within a few months?) when we stayed there, there was active construction (i.e. jack hammers throughout the day, literally outside the hotel) Overall, would I stay here again? sure. But I also might try a smaller hotel in the Brera zone which would be less congested and more quiet.

The hotel has a beautifully decorated and spacious lobby. We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of our trip and 2 nights at the end of our trip. So we ended up staying in two different rooms. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. The rooms looked newly remodeled. It was very hot outside that week and the air conditioning kept our room comfortably cool. The first room faced the street and had an interesting street view. Even with facing the street, it was a very quiet room. The only drawback was that the wi-fi in this room only worked if we stood right next to the entry door to the room, but we managed so it wasn't a problem. Our second room that we stayed in at the end of the trip faced the back of the hotel and was a larger room with no wi-fi issues in this room. The front desk staff offered to keep our extra luggage in storage at the hotel while we traveled to other cities mid-week. The free breakfast buffet which was provided at the hotel every morning was fantastic!!! It included prosciutto, cheese, assorted croissants, fresh fruit, assorted juices and much more. It was the best breakfast that we ate while we were in Italy. A nice waiter, named Maximillan, realized that I liked 2 lattes with my breakfast each morning, and always came back to my table to ask if I was ready for my second latte. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Most of them spoke excellent English and were eager to help if we needed anything. I highly recommend that you stay here when you visit Milan.

If your goal is to be within walking distance of the Fashion District, great restaurants, cafés, and shopping, this hotel is in an excellent location. Now, if you're used to modern U.S. hotels, keep in mind that many European hotels have an older, more traditional style, and this one definitely falls into that category. The lobby furniture was very dated, with cracked leather seating that could use replacing. The carpet also looked like it had seen better days, although the hotel itself was clean and our room smelled fresh. The beds were extremely firm almost like sleeping on a board. The bathroom had an older-style bidet and a high Jacuzzistyle tub/shower combo. Because I have knee issues, stepping over the tall tub wasn't ideal, and I would recommend requesting a walk in shower if they have one available. One minor issue we experienced was that I accidentally bumped the bathroom door frame, and the trim actually fell off. The room did include a small refrigerator, and they offered drinks and snacks, which was convenient. They also have a small restaurant and bar on-site, although we didn't use either during our stay. One thing that took some getting used to was that there was only one room key for the room. Since there were two of us and we often went our separate ways, whoever left the hotel had to leave the key at the front desk for the other person. At first, I thought that would be a hassle, but the front desk assured us they could still let us into room if the other person had the key. That gave us some peace of mind. The funniest part of the entire stay happened at check in. Instead of computers, they pulled out a giant reservation book, used a ruler to find our names, crossed us off the list, and then handed us an actual room key from a wall full of hanging keys! We laughed so hard because it felt like stepping back in time. I honestly couldn't remember the last time I'd used a physical hotel key. One thing that became a little frustrating was that once the bar closed, we were often told they couldn't provide ice because "the bar is closed." Since I needed ice every evening for my knee after walking all over Milan, that was a bit inconvenient. However, whenever they were able to help, the staff was kind and accommodating and items were brought up to our room quickly. They also arranged taxis quickly, and we never experienced much of a language barrier. Overall, we spent very little time in the hotel we were out exploring Milan from morning until night and really only came back to sleep. If you're looking for luxury, modern décor, or upscale amenities, this probably isn't the hotel for you. But if you're looking for a clean, reasonably priced place in an amazing location close to shopping, restaurants, and the Fashion District, Hotel Brueski gets the job done. Would I stay here again? I'm honestly not sure. The location was fantastic, but next time I might spend a little more for a more modern hotel. If location is your priority over aesthetics, though, this hotel is definitely worth considering.
