I arrived to Nana Vida and was greeted by Guillermo who essentially took care of most all of my needs start to finish during my brief stay here. Based off of this first visit, I would recommend Nana Vida and I would personally stay here again. If you know me at all, you know the things I look for in away from home accommodations. Quiet, Peaceful, Calm, Tranquil - Water (sparkling is always a plus, but flat as well - girl needs both ;) I adore robes and slippers and while this hotel did not have them, it wasn't a deal breaker - they really made up for it in other ways. Their h20 game was so on point - constantly providing me with as many fresh bottles of flat and sparkling as I could want. I came home to some of the clearest skin I've had in months and it has to be from the amount of water I consumed during my visit. Upon my arrival Guillermo went over my entire stay with me. He took down dates and times and made suggestions on when and where I may be more comfortable with having a taxi service than walking. He is so extremely thoughtful and helpful. He had my taxis scheduled and ready for me when I wouldn't be walking and I was always provided with water when I went walking. I was able to make a selection from their homemade soaps and he packaged this up so nicely as a welcome gift. He showed me to my room and explained everything and let me know they would bring more of anything I needed. I was happy to spot washcloths which sometimes are difficult to come by in other countries. He also offered me OFF bug repellent due to this being a high time for mosquitos. I greatly appreciated it because I have the type of blood that the skeeters love. Luckily, I arrived home with only 2 or 3 bites total. I did experience an issue with the toilet not flushing properly but they were able to get this and a water temp issue fixed in my room by the next afternoon upon my return. They serve a light continental breakfast in the morning (breads, juices, coffee), included in your stay. I skipped the first morning but tried a few breads the second morning. They also offer hot dishes for purchase. My room was nice and I felt fairly comfortable traveling alone and being here alone at night. They lock the gate after a certain time of night and have security, who I never saw because I was back in my room prior to this. I can't say enough about Guillermo, his service far surpassed 5 STAR. He stored my bags on the day of check out, and continued to offer superior care until the moment he waved bye to me as my airport taxi pulled away. I was given a very special gift at check out which was another thoughtful and generous surprise. If you are traveling to Oaxaca, I'd without a doubt suggest booking here. I was within walking distance to everything. I look forward to returning in the near future and am extremely grateful I chose to stay here.

Oh man, this hotel by far over exceeded my expectations. If you travel to Oaxaca City and want to experience the beautiful culture of Oaxaca then Na Na Vida is your place. So much art and history is surrounded inside and outside the hotel. The hotel staff was so welcoming and are very informative as to what cool activities one can do in Oaxaca, they even gifted us with a bag of Oaxacan coffee lol so cool. The hotel room itself was very clean and the staff follows the current Covid cleanliness protocols. Every morning we would wake up to fresh Pan Ducle and cafe de olla. The pictures I took don't do this place justice. Definitely coming back here

I loved staying at this beautiful boutique hotel. Every little corner had art pieces made from local artists. They support the community by using locally made product. It felt like home away from home. The staff made me feel warm and welcomed. They had fresh bread and coffee ready for us every morning. The area it is located is safe and very central. We pretty much walked everywhere so wear comfortable shoes! They also helped us book a couple of tours and connected us with the best tour guide ever! I will definitely be back and I have highly recommended this place to my friends and family.

Great location, superb customer service. Oaxaca is a beautiful city with so much culture, historic places and amazing food, this little boutique hotel is the perfect place to stay and to be within walking distance of Santo Domingo and other major tourist attractions. Nana Vida Hotel is a place that reflects the Oaxacan culture as it has beautiful pieces of Art, the rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and the owners make sure everyone is happy during the stay. Breakfast is offered in a beautiful patio sorrounded by grapefruit and pomegranate trees. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Oaxaca to book their stay at Nana Vida Hotel.

This place is magical! The staff feels like family! The staff is very welcoming and trustworthy. They attend your every need and provide a very warm and welcoming environment! Osmond, was the highlight of our stay. From the moment we checked in he greeted us with a smile and was always available to answer our questions, provided great recommendations and brought us the best mezcal to our rooms! This hotel has a great location to central Oaxaca. Everything is walking distance and very safe. Can't wait to come back! Thank you, Nana Vida for making our stay extra special!

Wow! Amazing stay.. the staff is a perfect example of outstanding customer service. They made sure we had the perfect Oaxaca experience! From having a cup of coffee for my wife every morning, giving us cold bottles of water thru out the whole day. Setting up a tour to Monte Alban on one day and getting a private personal diver to take us on some amazing adventures on the other days of our stay. Always having warm hello and goodbye for day. The hotel has some beautiful artwork. Our room was the perfect size and was seamlessly cleaned every day by the maid service. This will always be our place to stay . Thank you for making our time in Oaxaca priceless!

Stayed here for two nights with a friend that had recently injured his foot. Upon arrival they let us know that our room in the second floor was ready, but got upgraded to the first floor due to my injured friend. We got so many good tips from the front desk, we were given a voucher for a drink at the little bar at the front, and were offered hand made soap and a shot of Mezcal. The hotel is small, but super cute, decorated in a traditional Mexican house style. Everything was really clean, beds were super comfortable, AC worked perfectly, shower was big enough. The service totally steals the show, they were so helpful, so friendly, and just great customer service! They even kept some of our beers in the kitchen fridge since we were going to be gone all day and we had run out of ice (we brought in a cooler with us) They don't have parking, but we left our car around the corner in a secure overnight parking lot that we paid $100 pesos for. Location wise it was close enough to the centro that even my injured friend could walk to (in clutches!) I would definitely stay here again!

We were all planning on staying at Quinta Real. We had booked transportation, restaurants, tours, tastings, a full four day itinerary that we had spent months crafting to try and make perfect for this very special occassion in a very special city. This was all upended when bad weather rerouted our flight, missing our connection, with no viable options to rebook an entire group of 10 people in time to enjoy the trip. My wife was devastated, in tears, the trip she had been looking forward to all year completely ruined at no fault of her own. I called to see what Quinta Real could honor our reservation by booking a different date, a credit, a discount, or ANYTHING to ease the pain. We wanted to come back (and we will be, just not with this hotel), and we wanted to continue working with Quinta Real to make this mutually beneficial for both parties. Instead, they could not care less and are keeping the entire thing, four nights to the tune of thousands of dollars in exchange for not having to lift a finger to do anything for 10 guests now. Most important of all, however, is the lack of any professionalism, sympathy, politeness, or kind words under these special circumstances--they simply don't care. The human element of compassion is what I care about when I consider or recommend a place. I do not recommend Quinta Real--they have shown that they lack this element when it matters most.

Our family and friends were blown away by the service, the rooms were beautiful and everyone was so accommodating. It was a dream to stay at Quinta Real, it costs significantly more than other places in town, but it's a luxurious and beautiful experience. Yadira did our wedding and she is the very best!
