The Hotel: Has promise but ultimately disappointing. Where blankets? The small, scarf-like squares set on the bed don't cut it. Neighborhood is super meh. Parking garage is impossibly small. Room decor is a bit off. Folks are friendly enough. The location is roughly equidistant between the old city and the beach. Not particularly close to either.
The Restaurant: we had a lovely and enjoyable dinner here. The kitchen has talent (bravo on the tuna tataki)! That said, they suffer from the Spanish "I know that's on the menu, but we are out of it" syndrome. Happened with three separate items (I'm fairly certain that Spain hasn't run out of cheese). They have a small menu. That's bad kitchen management. Also, the chocolate cake was almost delightful, but had random cinnamon in it. Fail. read more
