While our room is non-smoking (thankfully- because nothing in the booking site indicated that there were smoking and non smoking rooms), the rooms across the hall are smoking rooms and the entire hallway reeks of both cigarette and marijuana. When I stopped at the desk to advise that someone was smoking she advised that smoking is allowed here and that she believes they may be the last Hampton branded property that allows it- she mentioned complaints on the other floors as well because I had initially suggested we might prefer to move to a non-smoking floor. There apparently isn't one. It's too bad because the location of the property is good, too. She said the policy is "unclear" on pot- so if you're a smoker (herbal or otherwise) this may be a great option for you. If you're sensitive to smoke, I advise booking elsewhere. On the plus side - The pool and fitness facilities are clean and well maintained as is the lobby and our room- no complaints there - and staff is friendly and helpful.

BEWARE!!!! I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over…read morethe past 10 years. I had a major issue this time that was not resolved by the hotel manager. I arrived last Friday. I packed my suitcase Sunday afternoon for my flight home Monday, but did leave it unzipped overnight to throw my bags of cosmetics in. I arrive home Monday afternoon from the airport and start to unpack, and there is a live mouse in the suitcase. It jumped out and is in the bedroom and we still have not caught it. We have never had a mouse in our home before. I had guests coming and this happened in the guest bedroom and I had to go get a hotel room for them as well as dispose of the suitcase and personal items. The manager has the nerve to say to me how do I know the mouse came from the room. I was highly offended. Do you seriously think I brought it up from Florida!! She refunded one night and said that was all she could do because I couldn't prove the mouse came from the room. I told them last August I saw a mouse in the elevator shaft and she did admit they had a mouse problem at that time. Apparently, they have it again.

Inconsistency seems to be the mark of franchises. The first room we were given smelled of stale cigarette smoke, had a non-functional phone, the door keys barely worked (third try mostly worked), and the lady at the desk confirmed the locks & phones were outdated and being upgraded over time and therefore had issues. The lady at the desk switched rooms for us, and was quite nice while interacting with us (we were there around 11pm, possibly near midnight). The second room... well, we examined it more and that just lead to more unpleasant discoveries. It smelled musty but not smokey. While the phone worked, the lock bar on the door was broken on the door frame side (I didn't test to see if it would hold the door shut). The room was shabby/worn, looked like it wasn't cleaned (clearly not vacuumed, and inconsistently dusted), had stains in various places (pillow, comforter, tub/shower), there was a shoe-print on the bed we didn't use, and some kind of white dust or powder was on the back of the corner chair, hidden by a little decorative pillow. Weirdly, the tissues stank (maybe just ancient tissue stock sold cheap). Most unpleasant of all, the toilet had someone else's hairs and a spot of old-but-still-moist urine behind the seat. The less bad: despite obvious age and wear, the bed & pillows were fine and smelled of bleach, so we assume it was sanitary. It wasn't loud that night, despite a lot of people apparently staying the same night. The highway noise didn't bother my girlfriend and I managed to block it out with earplugs. We felt like the price we paid was not worth the experience overall and were eager to get back on the road and hope for better luck elsewhere. I hate giving bad reviews but I have to make use of this system to inform other people who might avoid the same negative experiences.

I booked thru Priceline and Ibotta to get a good deal while visiting my mom on Mother's Day. I arrived around nine pm and was greeted nicely and right away. The breakfast area is right in the front lobby. Yes, there's a waffle maker setup up. My bath was hot, my room was clean, and I slept well. I enjoyed my free breakfast. I was surprised to see sausage and eggs provided too. The free coffee machine had a bold option and it was nice and strong. I'd totally stay here again.

Really I wasn't looking for anything fancy (come on now, this is a Motel 6!). The only turn-off was the place smelled bad, like a dirty aquarium/fish tank in the lobby. But the room was great, and it had a comfortable sitting area. No pool or any extra fancy stuff here, which was fine with me. Location was good, too - as it was on the northern edge of town.
