This is a hotel that was my to-go-to some ten years back when I studied a course with a few classes per semester. The hotel is nice and still has some charm at an unbeatable location and environment, but it's no longer the place that I really wanted to return to very time.
Maybe (likely) my demands have increased on what I expect from a hotel since then. I am aware that this isn't a five-star business chain - and that's definitely not what I want or look for - but there is room for improvement to give me value for money here these days.
The devil is in the details. Some examples:
An iron and iron board should be brought to my room - it wasn't, the staff had left for the day, and it wasn't found in the basement where it could have been.
Breakfast: being out of fresh coffee for guests is a no-no to me; so is having the liver pate out in the sun or the sliced cheese being dry... read more
