Eggs (your choice of 4-minute or 6-minute), good yoghurt, delicious Gipfeln. Beverages included several juices, and the standard line-of-people-awkwardly-waiting-for-the-espresso-machine (no decaf, sadly). Next up was the Bergbahn passes, good at all the gondolas, aerial trams, and chairlifts in the valley. The hotel has a limited number --- I'm not sure they'll always be available, but they were for us. The older western part of the hotel dates from 1882, and was fairly newly renovated; the eastern extension was a fairly hideous concrete monolith that looked 1960s or 1970s. Oddly enough, our bathroom had a view 1 meter to the wall of the monolith. (The view from the bedroom made up for it, with a nice tableau of the Parpaner Rothorn and the Weisshorn). Finally, Skype users beware --- the free WLAN (WiFi) isn't in the rooms, only the commons areas. Not ideal, but it's something.

You really have everything you need starting from parking, spa area, bar, WiFi, big tv up to a free lift card which greatly adds to the deal. We stayed in a spacious 3 bed room with big balcony and from which we enjoyed the nice view. The breakfast buffet was good, but I assume it can get a bit boring after a couple of days. The one thing that stuck out very positive was the personnel. We've got an amazingly friendly and advanced service throughout our complete visit and from all staff members we were in contact with. Job well done!

We went there for our honeymoon and we stayed at hotel Guarda Val. This is surely one the most charming and romantic hotels I have ever seen. The rooms of this hotels used to barns and huts which have been wonderfully renovated to provide maximum comfort but their original charm has also been maintained. I also pampered myself at the Spa which was very good too. I had an awesome Honeymoon at Guarda Val.
