We stayed at the castle here years ago but my youngest if very into Ninjago and we wanted to try somewhere different so we stated here. Despite some refreshes in the interior over time you can tell it is dated and an older building. We did like the large house like windows in the rooms but the room for 4 people is very crammed with a small bathroom and the bunk bed taking a lot of space. The top bunk does have very shallow railings so my wife and I slept on it worried the kids would roll off. As part of the Lego experience the staff was amazing, super friendly and positive with the kids. They have a booklet at check in with 3 different competitions the kids can do. One of them is building using the free lego bricks in the room and all throughout the property. Every month they have a different theme and you put your build on a shelf in the lobby and see if you won the next day. The two others involve a scavenger hunt looking for different signs and counting different things on proprety. If you win you can choose from some small free sets. read more

Theme Park hotels are not always 5-star resorts. Legoland in Denmark is the original, and the hotel feels the part... original. There is nothing wrong with that, because it's just where you are going to sleep, and kill a little time. The treasure is Legoland, which is connected to the park, via a overpass/bridge, and down the street, about 10 minutes.. Lego House (aka.. the Logo Experiential Museum). Yes, if you look at Lego House, which was built just a few years ago, then compare with the Hotel Logoland experience, it's not the same, and it's going to downgrade the experience. However, the joy of hotel is that for your kiddo (which is why I went), is that they don't care about the details that adults care about, they just love it's all Lego, and that's why it wins. The rooms are exactly what you expect, Lego themed. They aren't large, at least the one I was in, but every detail about the room, feels like it was ripped from a Lego set, and that's perfect. We enjoyed the breakfast option, which was included, it's not the most bar raising European buffet, but it was great for us and the Kiddos. To be fair, we stayed at a few fairly good places on our Denmark holiday, and the quality bar was probably too high, by the time we got here. Look, what you get here is perfect for your kiddo, and if you are a kid at heart adult, you are likely to get something out of the total experience also. 3.5 It's sweet and inventive and lovely, but just a little bit crappy, too. Embrace your inner eight year old and you'll easily overlook the just a bit too small bunk beds, the chipped wood, and the just a bit too small rooms. The architecture of the place is a zero, even though they try real hard on room and hallway decor. For kids that are in to Lego, it's all good. Staff go out of their way to be helpful (Denmark!) Restaurant is first class and the staff are friendly; they do a good job with breakfast. read more

For ease of convenience when visiting Legoland, you can't beat this hotel for location. It's literally attached to the park via a bridge from reception, and also allows multiple in/out privileges to the park for guests. Not surprisingly, everything is Lego themed, with many play areas scattered around the hotel, as well as buckets of Lego in each room. We stayed in a Ninjago themed room, which was fun, and appealing to my son. The room has a double bed and two fold down bunks. Not a huge amount of space, particularly for a family of four, but for just myself and my son it was ample. It's a short taxi ride from Billund airport, reception staff will order a taxi for you if required, expect to pay in the region of DK100 each way. The price is very expensive, but really you're paying for the Lego name and location. Food at the restaurant was adequate, nothing fancy, but enough selection to cater for most appetites, especially satisfying for children. read more

I've never stayed here, it's way beyond my budget and I much prefer my favorite B&B in the whole world which is in Vejle, but I can comment on the restaurant and reception area. The restaurant, like most Danish restaurants and all eateries in Legoland, is over-priced. But the food is fine and the staff is friendly. I tend to bring my own food to Legoland after my experience here and in the park. It's not worth the money. But if money is no object, it certainly is convenient. Like I said, the staff here are friendly. It's a quiet oasis after the chaos which defines amusement parks. The reception area has nice spots for kids to occupy themselves while parents "chillax" to use my 11-year-old's expression. I did take a peak at the rooms and they are neat and clean and imaginatively decorated. Is an expensive hotel, but if you need the convenience and can afford it, you certainly do get quality for your money. read more

Rooms are in awful disrepair. Restaurant is both too fussy and mediocre. No air conditioning. No climate controls. Chipped furniture. Opening window causes it to blow around all night. Everything needs a paint job. read more

We were in Legoland, and wanted to get a cup of coffee at the café at the hotel Legoland. Mediocre food, ok, but the service was absolutely unacceptable. It took 30 minutes from order to service, we had to ask several times for the cake, which we had already paid for. The waiter was rude - even for Denmark. Never again. read more

Hotel is fun and great space for kids to sleep. Bring the bug spray and a fan for the hot summer--no screens on the windows and no air conditioning. The steak restaurant has terrible wait staff, a buffet restaurant staff pretending to be real waiters. They have no clue how to serve a table well. The pork was excellent as was the salmon appetizer. If you want the kids to eat quickly forget this restaurant. read more
