Currrently ok... first day View out of room 508 on jun 22nd early midnight ... this review is only referencing room 508 currrently And does not reflect on hotel jay staff or resort- just the location of this specific room.: 2 our of 5 stars- basically the lights never turn off from this water park. No darkness for our sleep :_(

Currently driving home from our vacation at Jay Peak and it was so hard to leave. Our whole group spent the last few minutes pretending we might be able to stay one more night or week but sadly work calls. We all had an amazing time here and will definitely be coming back as soon as possible. We arrived on Wednesday planning to snowboard for the day then check in for the night but were thrilled to be told we could check in at 10am, which I'm sure was because it wasn't busy, but was nonetheless very appreciated. Our hotel room was somewhat small but as we booked for economy totally not a problem. The whole wall was a giant window which gave us beautiful views of the surrounding areas. The room was clean and nice and had a keurig machine with coffee pods. A closet area and an area with pegs for our stuff and the bathroom was like a spa. The beds were really comfortable and the pillows were amazing. I care a lot about my beds/pillow and I was very pleased, We were able to get dressed right in our room and walk down to customer service to get our tickets and right out to the lift. Jay peak is and was amazing, no suprise. Then after we were able to use our wristbands provided with our room to spend the evening at the waterpark, which was completely perfect after the cold and tiring day on the slopes. The whole park was kept super warm which felt great and after enjoying the hot tub and water slides, I was able to go up to the bar and enjoy a drink while I watched my boyfriend try out the wave pool. Love that you can watch people getting in la chute, the crazy water slide, on a screen and then see them fly through it and come out at the bottom. For dinner, we got pizza from mountain dicks and beer from the convenience store and relaxed in our rooms before calling it a night. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to come back. If you really want to relax and enjoy your trip to Jay, stay here and enjoy forgetting about your car for a little while.

Another great ski trip in the books! It was my first time to Jay Peak and it was wonderful. They…read morehad a nice variety of terrain, tons of on site lodging options and non skiing family friendly activities. Overall, the terrain was a little more advanced but had a few short trails for beginners. Several long blue runs and a few groomed black runs in addition to many more difficult mogul black runs. Lots of glades areas if that is your cup of tea. The resort was big enough that you had plenty to explore for a few days and also if you went with a group it wasn't so huge that it was impossible to meet up or find friends if you took an accidental detour. We opted for a package and it was reasonable. We chose to stay at the golf cottages which were perfect for our group, and could get around the resort with their shuttle system. There was a movie theater, bowling alley, climbing wall, mini golf as well as general store, bars and restaurants on site. If you buy a package some of the activities might be included in your price. If you want to eat off site there are a few restaurants about 15 minutes away. It was nice that they had so many things to do because this resort is in a pretty remote area and there isn't a ton around in the near vicinity.

The top half of the mountain was all just a tiny powder on top of ice . The ice gets shaved throughout the day to build up the powder that then gets slapped into something akin to moguls throughout the slopes. Talking to people on the lifts made it very clear that the focus of skiing here is on the glades and not the groomers. Unfortunately my lack of experience made it rather tough to enjoy that. It also wasn't until midday on our second day that we finally discovered some more beginner friendly glades. We ended up being able to enjoy the moons and the bushwacker path. The layout of the lodge is also strange. It feels cramped and crowded even though there werent too many people there. All the lifts feel far too slow as well. A wind cover at the least would be highly appreciated considering how long the ride up is. The misc Ramen truck is a highlight. Delicious lunch option. Truely a gift. Would recommend.

It's tiny, and smashed into an extremely small area. Consequently, other people's kids were constantly running through whichever hole we happened to be on at the time. It's billed as a black light mini-golf course, which just seemed to mean DARK. Each hole was pretty much the same. Very little creativity seemed to go into the designing of this course. It was a big disappointment. The rock wall climbing area, on the other hand, was fantastic! So many different types of walls and things for the kids (or adults) to climb! It was wonderful - a great way to pass an afternoon and get some exercise. The bathrooms were very clean, and there was plenty of comfortable seating for adults while the kids played.

We went yesterday but didn't go today as it was super cold! Negative digits!! We arrived late on Tuesday night, loaded our stuff on a luggage cart, parked the car, then headed to the room. I believe that this is a newer or renovated hotel. We had a Large King room with a view of the slopes/ski lifts. Sink area is separate from the toilet and shower area which is nice if you're sharing a room with someone. There is a small flat panel tv, a dresser, couch, suitcase stand, as well as a mini fridge and microwave. Plenty of storage for short or long stays. Be sure to bring your water, snacks, food, and utensils needed for a small meal, snack, or tea time. They don't really have anything except for some cups. The bed is super comfortable! I have to ask them where they got their pillow from as I've been waking up without any neck pain! Maybe they won't notice if I take it? Just kidding. Free wifi is great, though at times can be slow. Obviously the best part about staying here is the ski in ski out feature. It's also nice to have a pretty view of the lifts. It's quite expensive, though it's the most affordable option on Jay Peak. The staff has been super helpful and nice. For dining options, there is Howie's which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (until 9PM!) The shuttle service is awesome and will bring you around to the other hotels/parts of the resort. The resort has plenty of other dining options and things to do. I'm tempted to try out the Rock Climbing which a few steps from Stateside! It's great that there are so many things to do here if you don't feel like skiing or riding. We were here during the last week of December. During the day, you can hear the base and music coming from the lift and the groomers at night, but it's really not that bad. Also, as is gets closer to the weekend, there were a lot of annoying kids running through the hallways!! Just bring your ear plugs if you're noise sensitive. I'd definitely stay here again!

The INN - Breakfast. We split up our omelet and avocado toast to split.

The INN truly has exceeded…read moreour expectations for what our ideal experience is, and we are so grateful for the INN being the foundation of a phenomenal week-long getaway in Jay Peak. The stay: main area- Quaint, cozy, cabin-like feel with a rustic albeit decorative interior. Carve some time out in the evenings to hang in the common area by the warm fire and play some games they have available. It's large enough for multiple groups to be dispersed and play separately. Room- just enough space and awesome vibe. Shower was amazing with great pressure and perfect after a long day of skiing. Dog friendly: We brought our dog with us for the trip and were so pleased with how truly dog friendly the INN was towards her. Seeing as we couldn't take our dog on the mountain to ski, Kinga offered daily dog walks around the neighborhood for a more than reasonable fee. It was the perfect amenity to offer so we could enjoy our time skiing without having to rush back and take her out. She was sleepy everyday that we came back and got so many sniffs in! We loved hearing Kinga share with excitement details of their walk everday. They are all truly dog lovers, with Portland and Banana there as two lovely inn dogs (different but amazing personalities). We were also greeted with a dog bed and treat in the room upon arrival. The dog-friendly rooms are right next to the exterior door so it's super easy to take her out for walks. There is a river in the back of the INN, as well as a small through-road so easily accessible for long walks. The food: Don't skip breakfast- it's phenomenal! Had the avocado toast most days but tried everything on the menu - French toast is delicious as well. Definitely make dinner reservations for the INN at least one night. It was such a memorable experience. Huge compliments to Jason for cooking the ribeye and duck to perfection. Drinks- Holly is a rockstar of a bartender. I asked her to make me something "simple but effective" one night-- she recognized I had been ordering vodka based drinks that evening and made a delicious vodka gimlet. It was the perfect complement to sitting by the fire and playing chess together. Nick, Jason, Kinga, Holly, and the rest of the staff make an exceptional team and have something very special at The INN. We are so appreciative of the hospitality they showed towards our dog and us. Next time we head to Jay Peak, we already know where we will be staying. Thank you all!

I bang on the door a couple times and a woman who I called half an hour ago answered in her extra short, little robe. It's freezing outside so the only reasonable place where I can fill out paperwork is in her apartment, So she invites me in. At this point I was looking around for cameras because it was starting to feel like the beginning of an goofy 80's movie. Attractive women do NOT answer their doors in slinky robes and invite ME inside!! I told the gal how strange I thought this was but it seemed pretty normal here. I put a name, an address and a phone number on a piece of paper, she doesn't even bother to ask for my ID. I pay $50 cash and she hands me the key. She shows me to my room, shows me the basement and the sauna and wishes me a good night. Says I'm welcome to look around and explore. I'm traveling alone but she put me in a room that could easily hold 5. Half the rooms have open doors. I wander up to the second floor and see that most of the doors are open up there too. The front door isn't locked, I could have walked in, found a room I liked, locked the door and called it a night. She would never have known. I'm convinced that carfulls of penniless ski bums do that all the time. Arrive at 11:00 or midnight. Tiptoe up to the second floor and crash for the night. Take a shower and get up and out early and the only person that might ever realize it would be the housekeeper. Crazy. The restrooms and showers are dorm style, down the hall. I couldn't get any wifi and there was no info about wifi in the room. Maybe they don't have it. Strangely, there also weren't any heater controls in the room but it stayed comfortably warm anyhow. The sauna works great. Don't think they serve food anymore. It was a fun, odd, loosey goosey place to stay for a business traveler.
