And this hotel is the perfect home base to check out Stralsund, and even on to Rügen and/or Hiddensee. My room was small but I'm small, too, and that's fine with me. The staff were super friendly. I didn't get the breakfast because there were so many restaurants and coffee shops close by. The Ozeaneum is worth visiting, a short walk away, and the whole Hafen area is gorgeous. Of course the town is awesome, too. All very walkable and easy to visit. They had free wifi - I LOVE FREE WIFI! And the price could not be beat. I would definitely stay here again! Great hotel!

Turned out they had double-booked the room and for some reason that didn't show up in their booking system. We never did get any proper explanation or apology from the staff and obviously a hotel where something like this can even happen is not a place I can recommend. The rather expensive hotel itself is nice enough and so are the rooms, but for above reasons I would never ever stay here again.

Bedingt durch die sinkende Nachfrage nach Raucherzimmern ist es für uns immer schwieriger geworden die ausgewiesenen Raucherzimmer zu vermarkten. Daher wird das arcona Hotel Baltic ab 2016 zum Nichtraucherhotel. Zurzeit sind wir gerade dabei unsere letzten Raucherzimmer in Nichtraucherzimmer umzuwandeln, um mit Beginn des neuen Jahrs unsere Umstellung abschließen zu können. Für unsere Raucher haben wir eine Raucherlounge vor unserem Haupteingang.

The breakfast was included in the price and very impressive with everything you'd expect in a much bigger hotel I especially liked having a pot of coffee waiting for me on the table. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We'll probably stay here again later this year. 4 stars for this 3 star hotel.
