Hotel Grunten is owned by "friends" of Bolderman travel.
The facial expression of the waitress is cold and annoying from day 1.
German is the only language they use in this hotel, they don't even know what's water in english.
The dinner they provide every night is like the ones you can get from pension homes for the poor. Everything is overly salted and way too oily, especially the beef balls. It was so salty, until it becomes bitter. I'm happy that my heart is still working after 4 meals. 4x schnitzel(different names) in 4 meals. Are you kidding me?
And when I sent the inedible beef balls back, they don't provide me with any dinner, not even a serving of fries. And they didn't write the returned meals off the bill.
The breakfast is okay, but there is no tool to pick up the super hot boiled egg. The boiled eggs were less than 3 minutes, the egg white is watery, but the eggs were broiling hot, I picked the egg and threw in the air because my fingers were burned. And yet, the staff didn't do anything about it. Perhaps their skin is like a a cow/hippo or perhaps they just don't want you to eat an egg.
There were feathers on some of the egg shells.
The hotel doesn't wash the fruits for you. The grapes had a dust layer on it. Maybe it's a tradition to eat grapes without skin, I'll better follow the tradition to not get sick.
The towels were unclean, there was a big yellow stain on it and there were insects climbing from the shower basin to the towels.
This place smells like urine every day(especially in the morning).
The bathroom is really small, you can't even make a half turn, there is no place to put shampoo/shower gel near the shower, so you have to make a half turn, try not to cut yourself on the glass shower door.
When they lose your personal belonging(I brought my own towels), they don't give it back to you nor do they write it off the bill.
The tv only got 6 channels and they are all in german.
It's a real family hotel, because on the very last day, the owner brought her grandchild to the hotel and let her screaming through the entire place over and over again.
The restaurant have a bad range hood or they don't use range hood at all in the kitchen. The entire building smells like fried oil before dinner time.
There is no one at lobby to help you after 8pm.
The lights broke on the last day. We need to gather at 5am and we couldn't see anything. Luckily we had a torchlight and luckily I packed everything the night before. Again, nobody is there to help you.
The waitress puts on a smily face on the last day, because it was the tip day. I never thought that she could smile. Do you expect me to give you tip after you've been cold from day one? And won't replace my meal? And still bill it?
Everything you spent in this hotel, have to pay in cash on the very last day. Money laundering? I don't know, but surely fishy. read more
