Albergo Garden - Beautiful view from the terrace

The restaurant and bar are situated right on the lip of Ravello before entering the main town square. The bar is on a higher level than the restaurant so you'll need to walk down more stairs to get to the actual restaurant. However, both venues offer some of the best views of the coast that you'll see on your trek across the south of Italy. Make sure you take advantage of sitting out on their terrace. Imagine the most scenic and picturesque views of the mountain-side and the seemingly endless blue ocean. All of this with the crisp sea air breeze gently brushing by. All that said, I might just come back here for the view alone! The highlight is definitely the enchanting view and you should come here first for that but the food is a very close second! We ordered the mixed seafood spaghetti (18 euros) and it was more than advertised. You'll get a very large plate of spaghetti noodles topped with fresh prawns, lobster, shellfish and more. Sprinkle it with the lemon and mix it in the light broth and you'll be in seafood heaven! We also had the seafood salad (13 euros) which was light, refreshing, and crisp to bite. Plus it had healthy amounts of seafood as well including calamari. Mineral water was 2.50 euros. There is also a cover charge of 2.50 per person included in the bill. What really surprised me was the price of the meal. Easily one of the most reasonable deals for all the seafood you get. I had expected to fork over plenty of euros but in the end it was cheaper than seafood restaurants we had in Sorrento or elsewhere. Plus you get that amazing view. You can tell the tourists love Albergo Garden and many just lounge away soaking up the view. I had to take off one star just because the service was very slow and not as attentive and a bit brusque. Other than that slight hiccup, I was impressed. Usually tourist spots really suffer in terms of quality of food but Albergo Garden was both good food and a great view.

We booked in advance, thinking we were just making dinner plans. What we found at Hotel Parsifal…read morewas something holier, something you don't come across often, even in a country built on beauty and blessing. Ravello itself feels like a whisper from God, and this old monastery-turned-sanctuary holds onto that hush. You don't just walk in, you arrive with reverence. We were the only ones in the dining room that afternoon. No crowds. No clicking cameras. Just quiet conversation, fresh breezes, and a view that made me believe heaven might've borrowed from this very cliff when it dreamed up eternity. You could feel the centuries of peace in the walls, like the prayers of monks still echo somewhere in the stone. The staff welcomed us like family, kind, unhurried, genuine. We chose the daily menu, and each course came out with a grace that made us sit up straighter and eat a little slower. The wine was local and perfect. The dessert was tender enough to bring on a moment of silence, not out of politeness, but out of pure awe. This isn't a place for loud voices or rushed meals. Hotel Parsifal is not and never should be a backdrop for a photo. To reduce it to that would be an insult. This place is sacred. It deserves more than filters and hashtags. It deserves presence. It deserves respect. Because this is Italian culture wrapped in tradition, bathed in silence, and blessed with simplicity. If you're lucky enough to go, don't go to see it. Go to feel it. To sit across from someone you love, share a few unhurried hours, and let the world slow down around you. It is a love story, yes, but it's also a quiet kind of worship. The kind where your heart says thank you without needing to speak a word. And to the staff, grazie, from the bottom of our hearts. You made us feel like family. You made our day unforgettable. You were the soul of this place, and we are forever grateful.

Every morning I woke up with the most beautiful view along with the best breakfast served. Everything was so fresh and to top it off they offer you coffee, espresso or cappuccino as well that you can enjoy on the balcony overlooking the sea. The rooms here are very cute, unique and clean, and you really get the feel that you're living in Italy, which was important to me. Downstairs there is a jacuzzi inside with glass doors which is also overlooking the sea and Amalfi coast.. Just sitting in the jacuzzi with this breathtaking view was incredible. There were also lounge chairs if you wanted to lay out and get a tan or you could walk down the steps and be at the beach! At the beach they offer kayak and boat rentals which was fun...This hotel was so convenient to all places in Minori- restaurants, bars, cafe, market, shopping, bus, etc AND it is only a ten minute walk to the next city over Maiori, if you wanted to explore the coast:) I will definitely be booking my stay in advance for next year here because I enjoyed my visit and again, the staff was so kind, friendly and helpful they really made me feel like Palazzo Vingius was my home for the two weeks I was here... Can't wait to return!!

I had one of the cheapest rooms and so it was very small. However it was very very nicely decorated so the smallness was offset by beauty of the room. I enjoyed instead sitting in the public areas of the hotel which were beautiful, very quiet and peaceful (late in the season). The gardens are wonderful. The views from them and from the hotel are great. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. They speak English fluently and should you be traveling from China, one of the receptionists, Mariangela, also speaks Mandarin. Mariangela also arranged my follow-on hotel in Pompeii at a price significantly lower than what I was able to arrange at that same hotel on my own. Now that is service! And Mariangela also arranged for an excellent taxi ride on to Pompeii for 90€. Getting up to Ravello from Amalfi Town is a little difficult but not terribly so. From Amalfi you can walk the some four thousand steps, you can take the local bus for a few Euros, or the hotel will send a taxi for you ... at a cost of 40€. Be prepared to load and unload your luggage in the space below the bus if you choose the bus option which I did. The bus ride is scenic and fairly short at maybe a half hour.

They are helpful with bus schedules and local info. Family run business. Now the bad about the hotel itself: They charge 5 Euro per day for slow Internet (512k/128k) and it is only available in the lobby. They have a safe which is not safe due to the flimsy key and cannot be reached by short 5'3") people. The entrance key is old and mammoth. The staff wants the key before you leave the hotel so that makes it a little better. The room itself: very clean and cozy feel. The bathroom tile is nice but small. Definitely no more than one at a time in the bathroom. The bed (queen size-ish) was 2 singles put together with no box springs. Made cuddling hard with the cracking the middle. Food: Our plan came with breakfast and dinner each night. Breakfast is self serve. They had 4 types of juices, milk, water and coffees, including cappuccino. they also had cereals, oatmeal, various breads, croissants, and leftover desserts from the night before. They also had hot dishes such as hams, sausage, eggs, and hard boiled eggs. Cold items were beans, tomatoes, salami, salad, and cheeses. Dinner consisted of 3 courses every night. The starter (appetizer), main course and dessert. Every night they changed the menu (except for 2 of 3 desserts). The starter and entree always had one vegetarian plate, one meat plate and one seafood plate. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the dinners. I always left completely stuffed and the food was always fabulous. The wait staff was mostly attentive and polite (to your face). We heard them call other guest mean things as they walked away. We went off season (mid-March) and based in what it cost us I thought it was too much. I found this hotel elsewhere for as little as 22 Euro per night. Try to book through a agent and you may get a better rate. The town of Minori is small but easy to get to most places on the Amalfi coast.
