    Night view of the mansion

Just like all Four Seasons globally, expect luxury and 5 star service. Our hotel room was on the right floor and very spacious. We had The Mansion view, and it was nice having a Juliet balcony (so rare in the US) to look at the gorgeous tree-lined Av 9 de Julio. Can text concierge, made appt for me ASAP Walkable cafes, parks, stores, landmarks, pharmacies, etc. EVERYTHING. The area is upmarket and I felt safe walking alone during the day (don't be alarmed by armed guards strolling about) and my partner and I walked to dinner locally one night with no issues either. Elena had delicious food options and their brunch spread will make you drool. Made fresh juices for me daily, which I appreciate. My only complaint, if I really had to think hard, is I requested earbuds one night (I couldn't sleep because of a loud rooftop party across the street from about midnight to 6am, totally not the hotel's fault!) but none were sent up. But this is a minor blemish on an otherwise perfect weekend there. Arranging cars to and from the airport was convenient and they kept up with all the changes due to my flight delays getting home. Carolina (I believe is her name) at the front desk was super friendly and very patient as I was practicing my Spanish :)

Our digs for four nights in Buenos Aires was here at the Four Seasons, formerly a Park Hyatt hotel. ATMOSPHERE: The hotel features a single mid-rise tower and a detached high-end mansion with a separate entry. The lobby houses the registration/concierge desk, the restaurant Elena and bar Pony Line. Up on level 2 are the heated outdoor pool, spa and gym. The room hallways are the most elegant I've seen yet, a mix of black walls, mirrors and ambient lighting. CHECK IN: Roderick checked us in. He was very welcome and friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel wasn't legally allowed to exchange money, but a card-safe ATM was located in a room behind the front desk. Bellman Lucas brought up our bags and showed us the room's features. ROOM: We got a room on floor 7 which is their "club level". A common room with an outdoor balcony just off the elevators featured soft drinks and water 24/7 with light snacks in the afternoon. Our room had a comfy king bed but uncomfy flat pillows. The windows swung open for fresh air while blackout drapes kept us in bed longer. There were a few English language channels on TV. The a/c had a finicky thermostat that wouldn't move from its 21°C setting. The closet was big and almost walk-in-like. They provided two power adapters for Type A plugs. WiFi was free and strong throughout the property. The spacious bathroom had just a single basin but featured a soaking tub, glass shower and separate water closet with bidet. Water temperature in the shower was controlled and couldn't/wouldn't get past warm. SERVICE: We bought a bottle of champagne from the duty free store and needed it iced. The housekeeper was nice enough to set it up for us while we went out for a bit. RESTAURANTS: We dined at Elena's for breakfast, lunch and dinner, where I have a separate review. The best T-bone steak resides here!! Pony Line gets busy on Friday & Saturday nights with BA's youngens even if they don't have a dance floor/club. See separate review. TIPS: There are about 8 restaurants a short stroll from the hotel under the freeway overpass. We dined at El Mirasol where they have delish empanadas. Uber is illegal in BA but still operates. On one occasion, the driver and I couldn't connect so we ended up taking a taxi which was affordable. For safety, be sure to use only taxis with phone numbers posted on the vehicle's roof. The hotel is within walking distance to the Recoleta cemetery and Hard Rock Cafe. OVERALL: Central location, terrific service, great restaurant.

Lovely hotel in Recoleta. The staff is amazing and the rooms are nice. It's hard to beat the location with lots of restaurants all around. The cemetery and other attractions are just a short walk away. There are also several shopping avenues and streets in the neighborhood. A hidden gem of the Hotel is the pool, which is infinity edge all the way around. It is in the back courtyard which also has a nice outdoor fireplace nearby. There's a lovely evening facility, that adjoins the back of the courtyard and is just beautiful! There is a hotel bar, but not great for wine or beer. It is more of a cocktail lounge with thumping music late at night. The restaurant is quite good and has a beautiful interior with natural light coming down through a glass dome. Hotel also has a car which can take you around. That was very convenient.

Like the nearby Park Hyatt, the Hotel Four Seasons has has transformed a historic building (in this case the stunning former Álzaga Unzué mansion) and turned it into a show place that nicely mixes old and new. Gayle and I came in like we were staying here, wandered the grounds, and couldn't but be impressed.

    The Mansion ... outside building.

I stopped by to have lunch at the PonyLine, equestrian theme restaurant. I loved the decor and the service. I also walked around the Four Seasons Hotel and enjoyed the architecture and the decor. Took the elevator and went upstairs to the outside of the hotel. Visited the Mansion which is stunning. I highly recommend the equestrian theme restaurant. There is a second restaurant but you need reservations.

One of the most beautiful and comfortable hotel of central and fine La Recoleta district. Walking distance to most city attractions, shopping and sights. On the Four Season's grounds is located the gorgeous French style mansion, which is 100 years old, offering individual suites for VIP guests, such as the Rolling Stones members, for example. We had a city view room in the main building. Very spacious and bright, decorated elegantly as usual in Four Seasons. With a huge tempting bathtub. There was a shower too of course. A separate closet for your clothes and to hide suitcases, not to leave them in the middle of the room. Traditional turndown service and a very comfortable mattress. We didn't have the slippers in the room, but I asked them and they kindly brought two pairs. Their fine dining restaurant Elena is known for its alluring, savory and ingenious cuisine. I wouldn't say that the ambience of the restaurant is very romantic and comfy, but the food is delicious. We enjoyed it ordering from the room service late at night. The Roasted Baby Goat was amazing, so soft and tender. As well as their Burger, Caesar salad with smoked trout, and the cheesecake - all very topnotch. Breakfast there offers a full buffet with a splendid selection of most everything. You can have just cold selection or upgrade it for extra 100 pesos per person for all-inclusive with omelets, pancakes etc. Lobby bar is dark and very private, disposing to a friendly conversation. Open-door pool on the first floor, where you can escape from the summer heat settling yourself at the cozy sunbed and ordering some light and fresh appetizers and drinks right there. They have SPA there too of course. And a Gym, which consists of two rooms, they have cardio and strength equipment. All cardio is of Technogym. Two elliptical machines, one was out of service, bikes, and few treadmills. Treadmills were cool, equipped with all modern entertainment programs, so you can google or YouTube while working out, that's funny. The stuff and concierges are very nice and helpful. But the valet parking stuff and some bell boys hardly speak English and sometimes instead of the car they offer you umbrella or a bottle of water:)

Everything about this hotel is first rate: the location, the service, the quarters, the restaurants and service. We were lucky enough to snag 4-nights on points because this is an IHG Hotel and we are IHG Spire Elite Members. The service here is extraordinary. Need tickets to a nearby Tango show? You'll get help at the front desk for bookings and the hotel will arrange for a hotel van to take you over and back. Need a ride to the port to take the high-speed catamaran from B.A. to Montivideo? No problem. The hotel will arrange for a taxi to take you there. Want to get out of the hotel and stop at a Starbucks, a cafe, a pharmacy, or just take a walk around? No worries. The hotel is smack-dab in middle of where all of the action is in the downtown B.A. area. Want to go out at night? The staff will caution you about security and help you make arrangements. Street security can be dodgy in B.A. at night. If you're in B.A., this is a great place to stay. Go and enjoy!

The location is perfect -- central and convenient -- but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the fabulous service across the board. We stayed in a king room that (albeit on the smaller side) felt spacious with high ceilings, super comfortable and still so posh. The restaurant and bar exceeded our expectations, with delicious food and expertly crafted drinks that kept us coming back throughout our stay. What stood out the most was the staff. From the attendants to the concierge and everyone at the restaurant/bar (and breakfast bar), they were warm, professional, and endlessly accommodating -- always ready to help with directions or small requests. They even let us store our bags and use the gym space to freshen up before our departure, which made a huge difference on a long travel day. In short, Hotel Savoy made us feel at home and well taken care of. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Buenos Aires, and we'll definitely be back!

The Concierge and Main Lobby desks are easily accessible for questions, check-in, luggage storage, etc. All of the staff that I interacted with at both of these desks were efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. I noticed that during the middle of the day, there would be an infused water stand in the lobby near the Main Lobby desk. I really enjoyed being able to have a refreshing lemon water upon my return from the very, very warm outdoors. There is some additional seating around the lobby along with a grab-n-go place named Croutons and the entrance to El Faro, the location of included or unincluded breakfast, also offering lunch buffet and dinner for a fee. The hotel also has a small gift shop, an outdoor pool, fitness center, executing lounge, business center and meeting rooms. I saw that they also offer EV parking. I didn't have the opportunity to use any of the amenities during my stay so I can't really speak to their level of sufficiency or convenience. I can only say that everything looked to be well-managed and cared for. I stayed in rooms with 2-Queen beds; they are very spacious, comfortable and reasonably quiet. The rooms include a long couch, a table with 2 chairs, a divider to separate the sleeping area from the entrance-bathroom-closet-storage area, a coffee-tea bar and a small refrigerator. The bathrooms are also very spacious, offering a shower separate from a full-size soaking tub and quality shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand-soap and lotion. It's in a tourist-friendly part of town, easily walkable to restaurants and local attractions, and it has quite a lovely main entry, bar, and pool patio. But the hotel itself has major drawbacks both in service and room quality. I experienced a laissez-faire delay in my check-in (with my keys lying visible on one person's desk but no updates given to anyone else on staff, despite my repeated inquiries), which was not particularly appreciated after a long-haul journey, and the layout of my room was narrow and unpleasant. The bathroom was not a separate walled-off space but instead a glass cubicle within the main room, just feet from the bed and tight on space. Inside the bath cubicle, to achieve privacy it was necessary to close the door on the glass wall and then draw velvet curtains from both left and right. In using the shower, it was not possible to utilize the drying mat provided or reach a towel easily, as the glass door to the shower opened out toward the sink, hitting the mat and making it impossible to reach the towel hook. Drainage at the shower was also a little iffy. The toilet area involved yet another glass door, again making privacy an issue and further truncating the space, with all three glass doors opening in toward the sink. It was quite difficult to use the facilities at night without waking a partner in the room (since turning on a light in the glass-wall cubicle was not viable). The room itself had a bit of Old World charm -- a bit outdated in style and tired from wear but attractive overall despite missing basics such as larger nightstands, a clock, etc. While there are surely beautiful suites to be had at the Faena, the standard room falls short and, unfortunately, feels a bit substandard instead.

We arrived just before noon after 25+ hours of traveling with 2 connections from Vancouver, Canada and was pleasantly greeted by our bright, spacious, clean and modern suite (a large room with a king bed and spacious seating area). Although our balcony / room is on the back side of the hotel, it is quiet and quaint with a neighbourhood view. We look down to a lovely courtyard of the building next door. There are 2 pairs of ample closets (a hanging closet and a closet with drawers) for him and her (or him and him in our case) separated by a coffee bar / mini fridge in the middle. The bathroom has dual sinks and a separate shower from the tub. I also like how the toilet / bidet is separated by a partition from the sinks and shower. Our room package included a daily breakfast in the restaurant. It's a buffet setup but you can also order a few specialty items off the menu. It was a rather opulent buffet for the boutique hotel. The cold table had a variety of oatmeals/cereals/yogurts, fruits, cold cuts, cheese and smoked salmon. The hot table offered scrambled egg, bacon, chorizo, croque monsieur, breakfast potatoes, French toasts. There were also a good variety of bakery items including toasts, medialunas, the essential alfajores, and many other dessert bits. Although you are serviced poured coffee and orange juice at your table, there is an also a coffee machine offering about 8-10 specialty coffee and hot beverage items. The juice cart also has half a dozen different juices to choose from. ' The hotel is very centrally located at the southern end of Recoleta. Most destinations are with 20 minutes to 60 minutes on foot depending on your propensity of adventuring on foot. Taxi rides are inexpensive compared to N American rates and the Subte (subway) reaches a vast area of BA and the closest station to the hotel is just a block away. We walked everywhere: 20 minutes to the heart of Recoleta (the cemetery), 30 minutes to Plaza de Mayo, 45 minutes to Palermo and about 60 minutes to Puerto Madero. San Telmo is about 60 minutes on foot but we opted to take a taxi (called by the front desk for us) that morning. The hotel billed us in ARS so it was great for us after converting to CAD due to the prevalent exchange rate. I would stay at the Palladio again in heart beat.
