    Our Room!
    Kathryn J.

We spent 6 nights here last week and it was amazing. From the moment we checked in we knew this was going to be a great place. Our room was large, decorated with beautiful blue & yellow tiles on the floor and bathroom and a sweet balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. We were in another room but there was a minor issue with the bathroom and maintenance needed to work on it so they moved us to a room a few doors down. Both looked the same and we were very pleased with the efficiency of the staff for making this move easy. Our favorite place was the cool bar upstairs, "Le Carrube" & Carmine was delightful! He made great drinks and was very personable. The view is wonderful with the covered patio overlooking the Sea with a really nice seated fire pit to enjoy on chilly evenings. We also enjoyed the restaurant "Falabella" with another amazing view of the Mediterranean. There is also a lovely spa and outdoor jacuzzi on the deck outside of the spa. The hotel also has a work out facility and a private beach. Beware the beach does not have sand only small rocks & this is common on most of the beaches. The hotel was booked and had lots of guests due to weddings. We felt like it was a home away from home. The delightful little town of Cetara was about a 10 minute walk & lots of fun. And the bus to Amalfi stopped right across from the hotel where the hotel sold tickets. The WIFI was a bit spotty but I think that's common in Italy. We highly recommend Hotel Cetus.

We accidentally stumbled upon this spot as it was located directly next to the Italian villa we…read morewere staying at. We could see it from our patio and we were immediately intrigued. So naturally we had to walk over and investigate further. As soon as you walk into the restaurant space, it's incredibly breathtaking and magical. You just cannot beat the VIEW!!!! This wasn't just a restaurant but it was a small hotel as well. We reported back to our large group staying at the Villa and made a reservation for our party of 12 to dine here on our last night in Maiori. We were highly anticipating our dinner here and let me just say they absolutely did not disappoint. Our friends walked in and all you could hear was, "WOW!!!" That was our initial reaction too. The service was impeccable and the food was on point. We ordered a vast array of antipasti. Charcuterie meats, smokey cheese melted on eggplant, grilled veggies, fresh mozzarella cheese. We had originally explained to the server that we wanted to order family style and get a variety of dishes. So when the main dish first came out, everyone received a full serving of the lobster pasta. We were confused. So we had to clarify and cancelled the steak dish or anything else that was suppose to follow. This lobster dish was enough. And that was fine by all of us. The main entree was the pinnacle of my dining experience. The lobster pasta was flavored to perfection. I cleaned my plate. No, seriously! It was that good. The majority of our group loved this dish but we did have have maybe 1-2 people who didn't love it quite as much. They thought it was either too salty, too fishy or just not a fan. They were polite and just didn't eat their dish but never asked to get something else. I think they still enjoyed everything else and still made the best of the situation regardless. Troopers! All in all, you just can't beat the whole ambiance of this gorgeous space. It was the proper way to end our Amalfi Coast trip with our good friends. And conveniently located next door to our villa which was an added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who travels in the area. Go check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed!!! I want to go back. THAT VIEW THOUGH!!!
