STRONGLY RECOMMENDED and Fantastic stay in Grenada. I would not have picked any other place to stay…read moreat Grenada for my wife and I. First, the service was exemplary. David, a front desk attendant, was super friendly and gave us super helpful recommendations for modes of transportation, restaurants, and other activities. And he was just always warm, kind, and patient with our many requests. Juan, one of the waiters during breakfast time, was always so patient and timely with our requests. We kind of felt we established relationships with the staff at the end. The hotel is beautiful. You feel like you are in Spain in the hotel. The plaza is so peaceful to have a meal or just to relax. The are several beautiful rooms and the hotel has a interesting history. The rooms are comfortable. I liked the bathroom because it's spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The only thing to consider is that only one hotel room has an outdoor space. We had dinner and breakfast. The dinner was good. Food was somewhat flavorful but again, the ambiance is fantastic and relaxing. Service was warm, patient, and timely. This is one of the few breakfast places nearby that provides comprehensive choices and an American style breakfast. The breakfast is tasty. The price includes both a buffet and menu choices. The only slight concern is the breakfast is approximately $30 per person which is very expensive compared to other options in the area and outside the area. I strongly recommend for any visitor to Granada to consider this hotel.

How many can say they stayed at such a historic place? Loved our room overlooking the courtyard. Was quiet even though we were on the main thoroughfare. We would definitely stay here again!

However, They were not willing to stand up to the drunk client screaming to his family on FaceTime without earplugs. For dinner had the jamon and it was delicious. This was followed by a replacement salad as the other salads were not available. Salad was of roma tomatoes which are weird to have raw. Then we had the Banda rice which was very disappointing. Supposed to be with fish and seafood but could not find any besides some rubbery little tiny cubes of squid. There were three "prawns" per person on the rice placed as an afterthought. They were barely warm. And they were dirty. I'm had to de-vein and clean out the sand. Tarta de queso for dessert was a sheet pan tarte and dry. They need to do some homework.

Overall, a very nice place to stay while in Granada.

It has a cozy patio garden which provides a very to welcoming atmosphere for you to relax. First of all, it took a long time after we sat down before a staff came over to take our order. I do not blame them though because they were extremely busy. It was a fully restaurant but only 2 staff taking order, greeting customers and cleaning up after customers left. The food also took a long time to get to our table. We were worried a bit because we had a strict time to reach the Nasird Palaces and it was cutting close. The dishes tasted good but they were slightly warm, not cold but not hot either. For these type of dishes I would have expected them to be hot instead. Overall I think this is an alright place to eat. On the other hand though, your options are really limited anyways so maybe this place isn't so bad.

The restaurant in the little inner courtyard was beautiful, shaded and romantic and offered a respite from the withering sun. Touristy, unavoidable. The dishes were on the generous side, so don't make the mistake that we did by ordering so much. A few appetizers to share and an entree each would be to much food. The restaurant was already busy at 1:30pm so it depends on when you arrive. The seating was spaced out so you don't feel crowded. The waiters were friendly and soft, pleasant music played in the background. Our food came relatively quickly, given the fact that the restaurant was full. In conclusion, Hotel America is a quaint eatery under a canopy of leaves that would leave any tired tourist satisfied.

Situated on a sprawling lot amid a bustling avenue lined with shops and office buildings, Hospes…read morePalacio de los Patos is a beautiful hotel reminiscent of a historic 19th-century building...because it is! A careful renovation of an old palace has crafted a charming estate with picturesque balconies, stately fountains, and elegant furnishings, though its amenities are modern, sleek, and state-of-the-art. We checked into Hospes Palacio de Los Patos on a Thursday afternoon for our one-night stay - the lobby was quiet, and we were immediately greeted by the hotel's concierge, who spoke fluent English as well as Spanish. She pointed out some of the city's popular tourist attractions (namely la Alhambra and the Albaicín neighborhood), and then guided us to our rooms, which were located in a separate building. You can either take an elevator down and walk underground through a tunnel beneath the two buildings, or walk through an outdoor plaza with a bar to access the hotel's restaurant and elevators to the rooms. We had booked two rooms - one with a queen-sized bed, and another with two full-sized beds. The rooms are bright with natural light and have large windows overlooking the plaza area between the buildings. Everything is very modern, but we found that some of the room's amenities prioritized style over substance - for example, the showers were beautiful, but didn't drain well, as there's no slope for the water to drain into, the bathtubs were oddly shaped and not very functional, and the state-of-the-art door locking system didn't always work, leaving us locked out of our rooms on multiple occasions. However, the complimentary white wine, chocolates, and mixed nuts we were provided were a plus! We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, but it looks like an upscale option with a wide variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as room service. You also receive a complimentary hour's use of their spa/sauna - I didn't take advantage of this, though the rest of my family members said that it was quite luxurious! Additionally, when our flight to Barcelona was canceled before we checked out, we were very impressed with how our concierge booked us on a train to Barcelona within fifteen minutes. We were impressed with how efficient and professional she was! Apart from the minor technical difficulties and the fact that it's definitely on the pricier side, we really enjoyed our stay at Hospes Palacio de Los Patos - the building is beautiful and in a great location, service is absolutely stellar, and I would say that it's worth the splurge if you're looking for an upscale hotel in the area.

This is a great option for staying in the main part of Granada…read more We were traveling for pleasure with family. We got interconnecting rooms, which are different from how I think of connecting rooms. Our rooms shared a short hallway, and both the hallway door and the individual rooms used the same lock. We were given two keycards, both of which were needed to keep the electricity on in the rooms. As our kids are young, this was not ideal, as it was too easy for someone to get locked out of a room. This would be a better set up for families with older kids or couples traveling together. The hotel was clean and modern. There's a very decent gastropub in the lobby. Our room came with daily breakfast, and we thought the breakfast was very good. Eggs and pancakes to order, pretty extensive buffet including serrano ham and pate, fresh honeycomb, decent fresh fruit options, churros, and fresh squeezed orange juice. The kids enjoyed all three morning breakfasts. The hotel location is within a 10-20 minute walk of pretty much anything you'd want to see in Granada (although the walk to the Alhambra would be steep), but there's also a taxi queue two blocks away if you're feeling lazy.

I very much enjoyed my stay here and if I were to come back to Granada, I'd be staying here. Customer service was also excellent.
