Hotel Bulwar is excellently located only two blocks from Torun's Market Square. Rooms are quite good sized and the bathroom is spacious. The hotel is actually the old Prussian barracks. The renovation thus gives a most pleasant mixture of old and new decor. Free WiFi.
Breakfast is served is the restaurant. There is a buffet of scrambled eggs, sausages, cheeses, breads, yogurt, breakfast vegetables and coffee and tea. Despite the perfect location, I give Hotel Bulwar three stars due to several factors: there is only one electrical outlet in the guest rooms, there is no coffee and tea service in the room, no tray in the shower, and rooms are quite warm. (The thermostat cannot be set below 18 C, but the room is never that cool.) Too, a coffee, tea, water and cookie service is set up in the lobby next to the front desk, but sometimes staff will yell at you (but not at other people) for partaking. A nice hotel, but be prepared. read more
