The staff is very friendly and was able to check us in early after traveling al day. The rooms are spacious and also come with a bluetooth speaker which came in handy when getting ready. There's a coffee bar area with a kettle and free instant coffee and tea. I also love how they store shampoo, conditioner and soap in reusable containers instead of wasteful plastic little bottles. If you need anything else you can request it at the front desk. It's centrally located, walking distance to many places such as Las Ramblas and many restaurants/bars. The metro is right in front and very easy to use. We ended up ordering room service one night which was actually pretty good - kind of pricey though for a sandwich and chips. Just a note: there isn't a pool or fitness center on the premises so it's probably not the best option in the hotter months. It didn't affect me too much because it was chilly when I was there. But if you're looking for a nice place to stay with plenty to do around look no further.

Their renovations of the public areas are awesome. So when they're done entirely I think this hotel can be one of the very best. Front desk staff? Amazing. Made some awesome recommendations and knew the area very well. If you're booking here, make sure you get your breakfast included in your stay. You won't regret it. All kinds of great choices: fresh juice, breads, eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, pancakes, and more. Awesome way to get a nice hearty meal to last you awhile as you go explore. Oh and another plus? Located just a few feet from a metro station that will take you to just about any of the major tourist attractions. We picked up a 2-day metro pass and boom, we were set. Let me put it this way, whenever I return to Barcelona, it'll be to this hotel.

Though it's not next to the attractions such as Park Guell or La Sagrada Familia, it's an easy metro ride as the Sants Station is across the way. We enjoyed how the area had a lot of great restaurants and didn't seem touristy (it appeared that we dined with a lot of locals for dinner nearby). With the room we booked I totally forgot that I wasn't supposed to check in downstairs but at the top floor where the restaurant and Guest Experience personnel were. We did have to wait though as there was only one person working there at the moment and she was assisting someone with travel plans. The room was very spacious and modern. Huge separated shower, toilet was separated too with the door in the bathroom as well. The two beds are put together here, so it can hurt when lying in the middle. We did hear the Coldplay concert a ways at the Olympic Stadium but it ended early enough. I don't think I had any guests stay in the room to one side of us, but the other room next to us I believe was a staff only room, perhaps storage closet, and it would get a little noisy during the late night. But nothing too much to keep me up. The rooms also have the energy saving feature where a keycard has to stay in the slot to leave the lights on. We had a great view and were on the 22nd floor, top 23rd floor was only the restaurant and guest services. The bar actually does deliver your drink to your room upon request, but my hubby and I just brought the drinks to our room after paying for them. Their red wine sangria is delicious, and only 7 Euro! The staff was great, and all spoke English. The location again was super convenient to the Sants station, easy to get a taxi and really close to delicious restaurants. We would consider staying here again.

The rooms are large enough, very clean and comfortable. There is an ice dispenser for your drinks on every floor. The bathrooms are nice, large and clean. After check out, i got charged for supposedly consuming things from the mini bar which i didn't consume. So i had to email them to get my money back. Instead, they just said they would speak to the cleaning lady. Absolutely nothing changed - when the smell is that strong, it takes drastic measures to rid the place of it. I don't think they even changed the bedding, though. I ended up leaving the door to the terrace open almost the entire time to help air it out, but the street outside is very busy and loud and I woke up frequently from ambulances and motorcycles each night. But once I was into the second day, I just wanted to get out and experience the city and not make a big fuss about changing rooms. I was afraid they'd put me in an even worse room somehow. If it weren't for the smell, I think I would've liked the hotel. It's in a very central, fantastic location, a two minute walk from a central Metro station. The room was reasonably spacious, modern, and had a terrace with a nice view of the neighborhood. The bathroom was nice and clean. There was a mini-fridge with drinks and Pringles for one euro each and the front desk doesn't seem to keep track, they just took my word for it when I said I ate two cans of Pringles (out of sheer hunger a couple days). There's even a sun deck on the roof with nice views. Lesson learned: be more assertive about hotel rooms. They really should not have smoke-stinking rooms in the first place, however, for the price of the hotel.

Very, very grateful since we were wiped. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Ronald greeted us at the front door, helped bring in our bags, all with a smile. He was so happy to give us directions or suggest restaurants- his interactions alone would bring us back to this hotel. The rest of the staff was very nice, even printing out our cruise luggage tags when asked. The breakfast is beyond compare - huge spread of eggs, pastries, breads, yogurts, meats, coffee, water, fruit, teas and desserts! Yummy! Tapas for dinner was a great experience. If the staff and food wasn't enough, the location is excellent. There is a metro stop right outside of the hotel which made traveling really easy. One day we used the hop on/hop off bus. And you could use both routes orange and green .
