On-trend wooden-soled clogs and lace-up boots completed the picture of Depression-era style. The designer Alexa Chung had just released a collection for Madewell on 9/15/2010, so I was able to paw her ankle-length silk skirts and gorgeous blazers, as well as the classic denim collections. The girls working in the shop greeted me pleasantly, didn't hover, asked casually if I needed help finding anything, and were helpful in locating items in different colors or sizes. The dressing rooms were bright and had flattering lighting. What more could you ask for?

That combined with the fact that I realized a large part of my wardrobe used to be here. Well H&M you killed it. It's so clean and the newer setup is so nice and generally pretty easy to shop. There is a good flow to the store. This was the nicest store at the time, especially when compared to Forever 21 which was a hot mess. I walked out with a few items but I really wanted to highlight one of the one young girls working - I didn't catch her name , but she was so nice and started up a natural conversation with me about one of the items I was looking at. She proceeded to follow me around the store while I considered some items and offered to start a fitting room for me. While none of her actions were unusual for Talbots, her over aggressiveness and unrelenting attachment to me was unique. Okay, I thought once I got to the fitting room I'd free myself of her a bit. Wrong! She approached my door every 2 minutes to see if I needed anything else and to inquire about items which she recommended for me. I really just wanted to look at my own pace, and I kept expressing my concern about the fit of a top she insisted that she loved and looked great on me. Okay, I was a little tired, and just wanted to enjoy my day off and really didn't have the energy to evade her as I should have. Needless to say, I bought more than I wanted or actually loved, not to mention that I really didn't get to just relax and browse. The whole experience was like a whirlwind of mania. Unfortunately there's not a closer Talbots to me...I'd go there to return several items just to avoid Andrea. I will be returning some items, especially the top which looks horrible on me. Uncharacteristically for me I'll have to put on my "serious face", go into the store and make my returns and get the heck out of there. Our first interaction with Joe should have been a sign. We called ahead to let them know we were running about 10 minutes late and wanted to confirm we didn't need to reschedule. Instead of a simple acknowledgment, Joe sounded annoyed and said, "just make sure to have your code." Not exactly welcoming, but we moved on. At the appointment, he wasn't friendly, but he wasn't outright rude either. He took the measurements, placed the order, and we left assuming everything was handled correctly. When we returned to pick up the tux, everything fell apart. The pants were enormous -- nowhere near the correct size -- and the vest was also far too big. Instead of helping, Joe acted irritated that we even questioned it. His response was, "it's a rental, it's not going to be perfect but decent enough." When we pointed out the vest was clearly oversized, he waved his hand and said, "it will tighten in the back," without checking or adjusting anything. It didn't. Then came the pants. He handed over a smaller size without even looking and said, "here, put these on." Those were extremely tight -- so tight it made no sense that one size difference went from comically large to unwearable. Joe insisted, "this is the best we can do," and said he would order that tight size. We left feeling frustrated and, more importantly, not confident at all that Joe had ordered the correct pants or that he had even tried to find a proper fit. We also didn't believe there were no alternative pant options, so we went to the King of Prussia location for a second opinion. Thank goodness we did. The KOP team immediately confirmed there were other options. They found a much better-fitting pant style, ordered the correct size, replaced the vest, and even altered the jacket sleeves so everything fit properly. They also discovered that Joe hadn't even ordered the smaller size he claimed -- he had reordered the same oversized pants we had tried on that day. And those incorrect pants wouldn't have arrived until Thursday before our wedding, leaving no time to fix anything. Meanwhile, KOP was able to get the correct items in by Tuesday, giving us plenty of time to ensure everything was perfect for the groom. We later returned to the Collegeville store to speak with a manager. To h cisredit, he apologized and openly admittedhe was not surprised by Joe's behavior. While I appreciated his honesty, it was still shocking to hear and didn't make the experience any less frustrating. Overall, our experience at the Collegeville location was unprofessional, careless, and stressful -- especially considering this was all happening the weekend before our wedding. I'm disgusted by how poorly everything was handled. If we hadn't trusted our instincts and gone to KOP, the groom's tux would have been a disaster. We will not be returning to the Collegeville location, and I strongly recommend anyone needing a tux rental go elsewhere.

Since he never told me what store the item was located or coming from, I call this store for three days and no one answered the phone and when I finally got some one who located similar item I would settle for, their system was down.
