The employees were clean and exceptionally friendly and attentive. And most importantly - the food was soooo good!! I had the veggie wrap grilled (because I'm in an endless search for good vegetarian food to eat on the go) and omg was it good. There are mom and pop Espresso stands in our small town, but not visible from highway 8 and 12. We rotate so that our local businesses are supported. Today we rotated to Starbucks and there was Devin taking orders. He just makes you smile by his voice. Not to overlook anyone there...they are all really awesome and kind. But Devin always is extremely cheer full. Today we had our special needs Grand Daughter with us...who can be picky. As soon as he knew who was ordering that cake pop...he grabbed a Blue One for her. The order comes and it's a refresher, matcha, and a grande hot americano. We brought this up and the worker immediately placed the blame on us??? They remade the two incorrect drinks and then some girl comes up and said "yeah, a green tea is a matcha" which is incorrect and unprofessional. Then when I asked for our pup cups, a third person comes up the window, basically shoves ONE pup cup in our hand and slams the window shut. All this because they can't manage a simple order and get it right the first time. I am flabbergasted, appalled, and embarrassed that they chose to act this way. My companion particularly enjoyed the house made bread. We also indulged in their raspberry lemon cake. Lots of raspberries in the cake itself and topped with a very lightly sweet frosting, raspberry jam, and nice tart lemon curd. Overall a totally positive experience. We did 3 each starting with homemade pimento cheese with celery sticks, sweet peppers sliced, and crustini. I'm not a big fan of the jarred commercial pimento cheese. This was extremely good. Tasting the peppers inside the cheese ball that you choose how and where to spread it. B+ maybe even A- for the flavor of the cheese and presentation. 2nd Course of shrimp etouffee. It was okay but too thin of a sauce due to a not dark enough roux. Flavors are spot on, shrimp are tender and delicious. A- for the effort to take on roux dishes. 3rd Course was a delicate hazelnut chocolate mousse in a champagne fluted crystal glass. Topped with a light whipped cream to find the dessert level. It had multiple layers of flavor in different areas of the mouth and nasopharynx. A+ for presentation and depth of flavor in a chocolate pudding! Cup of coffee to end the meal, so really 4 courses.
